The Creeping Fear http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=17252 I sure hope not. Sounds like Anakin is getting a nasty case of space herpes.
The Creeping Fear?! And I thought "Attack of the Clones" was a lame title! I guess we'll have to wait to see if it turns out to be true.
That's a joke, right? If not, Lucas really has lost it....just like recent episodes of The Simpsons and South Park suggest.
maybe it's just me, but i thought he lost it right after i saw the credits to Phantom Menace start rolling. i USED to be a big star wars fan. loved the stuff growing up. but i doubt i'll even see episode III. i've wasted too much money as is on the first two installments. i'll be waiting for this piece to hit cable.
Nutshell: More people trying to kill Natalie Portman...who's scantily clad at one point...but not enough. Main bad guy is Duku or some other scatalogical sounding name. Yoda...now that he doesn't have Frank Oz's hand up his arse....can fight. More computer generated monsters that are slightly better than the escapees from Fraggle Rock seen in Jedi...but not much better. Obi Wan walking around being useless....again. Boba Fett has abandonment/revenge issues. Cute little Anakin is grown up...not so cute anymore but his acting is just as poor. There you go.
Prior to the who stupid Fear title the big rumor was that the title was going to be "Rise of the Empire", that's not too bad.
In my opinion (assuming Lucas actually sticks to his original backstory), this should be worth seeing just to watch that incredibly annoying, whiny, bratty Anakin get beaten within an inch of his life by Obi-Wan.
My expectations are so low that it would be nearly impossible for Lucas to blow this. Empire was the best of the first three and he didn't direct it...you think he would take the hint.
Directing can only do so much when the source material feels like a bad cross between CSPAN and soap opera with pseudo-scientific metaphysical techno-babble and stereotyped stock characters. That Simpsons episode was soooo on the mark.
