The Star Ledger is reporting about the Vega meeting, as well as interest in Jerren Nixon from Trinidad, who has a green card. Former Caribbean Footballer of the Year (1997) and on-and-off the T&T National Team during '02 qualifying, Nixon is 29 yrs old and has played with Dundee & FC Zurich, and is now at St. Gallen.

http://209.94.197.2/jan/jan6/sports.htm Coincidentally, Nixon had a transfer to Watford (home of Ramon Vega) set up in 1997 but it fell through when he blew his knee out.

They also said that Bradley will be the league's highest-paid coach at $250-300K / yr.

Nixon's decent, but by no means a star (or a starter) at FC St. Gallen.

The fact that Nixon has a green card is a plus.

If he can somehow get a job in Africa and Australia, he will have sucked on all six continents.

This guy schooled us when we were down there. What happened with his KC trial?

Was he just pulling our dick?

Why do I have this funny feeling that these were two guys Oz was interested in, and may not be exactly what the new coaching staff wants?

Vega has always been bantered about, its well known that he'd like to play in the states. Also, I don't remember the name of Nixon being used before, I believe our other Trinidad interest was Kerwyn Jemmot whom OZ didn't like.

And yes, I must agree, Bob hasn't seem the team practice and already Nick is jetting off to sign players, definitely not a good sign.
