Well the great majority of the 10,000 deaths you talk about are not carried out by "responsible gun owners" but by criminals. So if your point is that gun owners are out there shooting people you would be wrong. Now if your point is that our laws make it easy for criminals to get guns, I could agree with you, but based on what you wrote that is not what you are saying here. Peruvian, but if his mother is not bullshiting she had a black grand father, so by the one drop of blood racist theory Zimmerman would be black. Obviously that theory is bullshit and Zimmerman is a white Latino.
Gun crime has been going down in states with more gun laws and in states with less gun regulations. So gun laws do not seem to correlate with the decrease in gun murders.
OK, now concentrate. I brought up a comment by Donald Trump that went along with your thinking.....and you said that you never listen to Trump... And I said, I'll bet you have opinions based on that. Meaning sarcastically, if you haven't listened to the man, how can you form a realistic opinion of him. Oh, never mind. I hope your kids don't end up like TM.[/QUOTE] True story. My son was taking some of his class on a visit to the Great Wall Of China. When they were approached by a man carrying a large knife. This was a couple of years back when there had been a couple of knife attacks on kids in China. Some fatal. He told the kids to back away slowly while he confronted the man, who was obviously disturbed. He managed to distract the man and keep him there until some Chinese men saw what was going on and came to his aid. Between them they took the man down and defused the situation. It could has been nasty for the kids if he'd have turned and ran. You teach your kids your way, I've taught mine. Now I'm out of this one. It's getting a little too silly.
Both are sort of right, Zimmerman got treated like a white by the justice system and the media. But if his parenting were reversed, meaning his name was Jorge Garcia, the criminal system/police would probably have been the same, but the media coverage and the popular reaction would probably have been a lot less. A guy named Garcia killing an innocent black kid does not sell as many news papers as a guy named Zimmerman doing the same.

Once again, this totally normal and not-at-all violent or scary dude is getting railroaded by The Man. George Zimmerman charged with stalking private investigator
Gun Crime Does not equal Fire arm deaths. Suicide is the biggest killer with firearms but that does not get TV ratings gold so it is hardly ever talked about (The Koreans and Japanese manage to have high suicide rates with out guns). Mass shootings, Inter-racial shootings that is what gets clicks. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...a/obama-more-gun-laws-means-fewer-gun-deaths/
On a related note, the NRA just elected as its president someone convicted for selling guns illegally: https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2018/05/nra-oliver-north-iran-contra/
...which is all that matters. Convicted felon (could not own a gun in many states). Yes, the convictions were eventually overturned.
In the age of Trump it seems kinda small potatoes. But it was a pretty outrageous end around in its time. No one believed, despite Reagan's dementia, that he knew nothing about it.
And since then, Republican Presidents are a downgrade... But liburals are the ones that base their positions on feelings, or so I’ve been told..
As if they could name the current President of the NRA. This is pretty much non-news IMHO. He's been on the NRA board for years and consistently receives more votes than any other board member when elections are held. Liberals shouldn't bother making much of this -- because the NRA loves it when they do.
This Brazilian off-duty cop sure stood her ground against an attempted robber outside a school. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...g-outside-school-Sao-Paulo-foiled-mother.html
I have seen that, but those type of shootings are not liked here in BS P&CE. I did not know the dude died, I wonder what caliber gun the woman was carrying?
Zimmerman has found his grove in the Trump years... Are you fucking kidding me? George Zimmerman is one of the worst human beings on the planet. Just be happy you got away with murder and go the fuck away dude. https://t.co/qYA9Gk2TEa— Eazy-E (@eric_d_veal) February 19, 2020
What a stupid lawsuit: Here are the "offending" tweets and the grounds for Zimmerman's "defamation" suit: “Trayvon Martin would have been 25 today,” said a tweet posted to the verified Twitter account for Buttigieg on Feb. 5. “How many 25th birthdays have been stolen from us by white supremacy, gun violence, prejudice, and fear? #BlackLivesMatter” Tweeted Warren’s verified account: “My heart goes out to @SybrinaFulton [Trayvon’s mother] and Trayvon’s family and friends. He should still be with us today. We need to end gun violence and racism. And we need to build a world where all of our children—especially young Black boys—can grow up safe and free.” In a lawsuit filed in circuit court in Polk County, where Zimmerman now lives, Klayman alleges the tweets “defamed Zimmerman for political gain in misguided and malicious attempts to bolster their standings amongst African-American voters, all at Zimmerman’s expense.” Here is a link to the lawsuit. I warn you, it is on Larry Klaymore's website so visiting it just gives more "clicks" to his website. http://www.larryklayman.com/pdf/200218-Complaint.pdf
