I’m sure I’ll have lots more to say in the coming days and weeks and months, but for now I’m just going to paraphrase Dennis again, as I did the first time I went over for a match: Arsenal is a place where you find yourself.

I love you all very much.

"EVERY SINGLE BLOODCLOT GAME" hahaha...if you lived in NYC or London (especially Brixton, Streatham, etc) for any length of time that term is pretty much a local term. haha

Pour one out for the guys who were there for this at ground level but not the finish line. Guys like Nketiah, ESR, Xhaka, Tomiyasu, Zinchenko and Ramsdale who all heavily contributed at key stages to help us go from 8th to UCL to title contender.

Also with the win against Burnley Raya equals Seamans 19 clean sheets record and that goal gives us the record for most set piece goals in a league campaign.

Wonder what other records get broken\created over the next 2 weekends...

Haven't been in the city for a while but Chelsea's first title (since '55, managed by an ex Arsenal player btw) was huge. But when Arsenal won it was city wide. We have a huge base in south London. Huge, massive. I've been down there. I recall years ago going to a game and staying in south London, coming back from a game, wearing my shirt (against my proper judgment and the people I stayed with) and so many people down there who were at their jobs asking "Did we get a result?" (Liverpool game).

Anyway, it seemed city wide back in 2002 & 2004. East London were celebrating, north, south, bit of west London.

Chelsea seemed a more local thing centered to west London and the City (business district).

It’s been a long road man. We were once children and now we have grown old

First posted here when I was 15–it was a Rick Roll about Yaya Toure signing iirc. Now I’m 35, and I just wanted to say—thanks to you all for being a significant part of me growing up and becoming the 35 year-old I am today. And that is: a 35 year-old who still would not hesitate to Rick Roll you all, given the opportunity.

    Love to you all

Can't believe I could still log in here after all these years. Love all Gooners. What a few months it has been. The pressure is off now let's have a go at PSG

It's almost midnight where I live.

I have been in a daze since Taylor blew the whistle.

I became a fan when Bergkamp signed with the club. I was in high school then, and I would catch random highlights off a local cable channel or for a hot minute, on espn.

The pitch, Ian Wright, the logo, the shirt, Henry the genius the maestro, Wenger's class, this football poetry I saw, that seemingly contradicted every brute notion of the English game - and I was hooked.
The last time Arsenal won the title - I was sitting in a half empty computer lab in law school - digesting all of the highlights and fan reaction. As a young adult - in hindsight - perhaps I did not appreciate the achievement, or maybe it's the memory that fails me. Years followed replete with stasis, despair, moments with utter faithlessness ; there were sprinkles of joy and hope like those fa cup wins - but this was all just.... building blocks to this.

Tonight - the clerk at my wine shop - noticed my Arsenal cap - the first thing he said was "it was a good day for results today?". I smiled ear to ear. "It was. It really was"

    I'm gonna over share.

Today has been a strange, surreal one. My father had successful open heart surgery and Arsenal clinched the title.

A 3:30 am start to a day unlike any other for bad, for good and for good again.

Kind of summarises this teams vibe that we won the league thanks to a headed Havertz goal off a corner.

Perhaps some open play goals will be uncorked on the final day!

First goal, before any of that, _tomorrow_, FA and EPL or whoever come out and announce that all of City's League titles are vacated, going back to 2011 or whenever it was.

Previously, CL win, treble, most league titles, maintain FA cup dominance

Part 2 of what I want to see in my lifetime.
We win leagues game at City (and Anfield for that matter)
Head to Head over take Man Utd, they have 100 wins to our 91, and 55 draws
Head to head over take Liverpool, they have 96 wins, we have 83 and 67 draws

I lived in North London and EC1 during peak Wenger. Though I'd followed the EPL (or the first division as i knew it) since around 1980, I think it was easy to believe that as part of the big 4, we'd get our share of titles. The arrival of the russian gangster sawed off the Wenger era IMO. So I think it's understandable that none of us appreciated it enough, even though i knew from 20 years of watching the league that eras come and go.

The timing of that and the stadium was the killer IMO. Had we stayed at Highbury but found other commercial avenues/expanded the stadium so we could still financially be strong (i.e make the money we currently make at the Emirates at Highbury) under Wenger we would have won titles between 2005 and 2018 under Papa Wengz because he was an exceptional manager and eye for talent.

But the issue was Chelsea financially doped, and Wenger was financially hamstrung.

Peak Wenger with current resources would have been probably similar to what PSG are now but with a better striker.
