Worst airport in the US (yes, worse than Houston).

    Who: DC vs. Charlotte
What: Away Saturdays in the South
Where: Somewhere where cars drive fast, turn left, drive fast, turn left, etc.
When: Saturday, June 15th, 2024 19:39PM EDT Kickoff
Why: I honestly don't know. At least it isn't the League Cup.
How: That remains to be seen.

    Cheers, Jeff...

Do we still have enough players to field a starting 11?

Oh, and it is like matchday 20 for the league and 18 for DC United. My bad on the last match day thread...

Yeah but I got to make a Stalag-17 reference.

    So - I'll allow it.

Agree about the airport. Actually, most fortress hubs are just a hellscape nowadays. Glad I'm retired and not traveling 2 or 3 times a month for business. Charlotte can't score, DCU can. 2-0 for the good guys.

They turn right at Charlotte now - once each year on "The Roval".
I've only ever landed at the Charlotte executive terminal (for tiny planes), never the big terminal (same runways though), otherwise it's too close to fly; that's a drive.

    Anyyyyyywayyyyy .....

DC is away ... so they have a better chance.

    DCU - 2
    Queen City - 1

DC wins on a late bouncing ball in the box that has no business going into the goal, but does anyway.

Should at least sound good on the rdio - their fans are pretty good (at least at singing, etc ;))[/QUOTE]

I had a friend who was, or at least had a share in a 2-engine prop :) I used to drive down to Hickory a lot to visit my daughter and he'd fly to Charlotte to visit his sister, so I'd ride in his plane to help him with gas $$ a few times - even took fatbastardsdaughter back to Virginia one of those times, made me seem like a good dad ;) To me she was like "yeah, whatever", but on the phone to friends back in NC she was much more excited about it :)

It's soccer related as many of you may remember her at RFK :D

Predictors here have a lot of faith in our "defense". Everybody scores on us and we have a dwindling supply of "1st choice" defenders. 3-3

I’m holding out hope that the break allowed DC United to fix things.

I just arrived in the center of the Charlotte for a capoeira event. Coming out of the parking deck to walk to the hotel I passed a team staff member in his team gear.

Too bad I can't be in two places at once tomorrow.

At least we have rid ourselves of the hamstringer... In exchange for the knee breaker but...

    Peltola is back...

    Bono
    Tubbs, Bartlett, Akimboni
    Santos, Klich, Petola, Dájome, Stroud
    Murrell Benteke

    MLS calling it a 3-5-2.

Looks more like Dájome is at right back. Akimboni more like left back.

Murrell looking more like a left wing... Santos behind him in a more defensive look.

14th minute. Both teams feeling each other out. Nothing very dangerous for either team.

Lots of poor passing to give up possession from both teams.
