    The 2007 Asian Cup winning squad (with Viera as a special guest coach) will play against Karbala FC to open the new Karbala Stadium.

    All 23 members of the 2007 team will be at the match, apart from Ahmad Ali, Ahmad Abid Ali and Ali Abbas. They will be replaced by Ali Hussein Jalil, Emad Mohammed and Ahmad Salah.

    Missed the game, but the stadium looked fantastic.

    Such a shame that the national team can't play in stadiums like this and the one in Basra.

    That kind of thinking will not make us break of this vicious cycle. Believe it or not, but we need to have stable and good relations with all of our neighbours; That includes both Saudis and Iranians.
