This is what I came away with in mind when I left PPL Thursday night. All of this trouble for that? Groan.
Promises, promises. Allow me to insert the obligatory La Norte reference here. Meh, I never know what happens in a match anyway. I'm too busy shouting at everyone within a 100-foot radius to "FUCKING SING!!!".
Don't worry everyone, Goff is reporting Payne's latest foray with the DC Council "fell flat." Maybe he should have opened the meeting by calling them goddammed mother********ers so they would have felt right at home.
This isn't Port of Spain. I assume they use electronic transfers. Electronic transfers are more difficult to photograph.
Big work going on over by the river near Lot 8. They took out a bunch of trees on the banks where the access road empties into the lot. Squint really hard and it looks like a stadium going up.
And who do you think will get a SSS first, United or your Revs? I hope you enjoy Gillette Stadium for a lot longer than the foreseeable future. asitis
I travel to DC frequently for work and always try to visit when I am in town. It's a classic piece of architecture. When DCU moves out I think there should be a move to preserve it as monument to history. It was the first cookie cutter/multipurpose facility.
Speaking of petitions, you can sign on one for Buzzards Point here: http://www.change.org/petitions/district-of-columbia-mayor-and-council-keep-dc-united-in-dc K
Mayor Gray says he respects, "The United" and hopes they stay. http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/penalty-kicks/2011/10/dc-mayor-talks-about-dc-united
Surely he is not talking about DC United. Even in the petition that Riz posted somebody refers to them as "the ...", whatever.
Makes me think of that movie 300 for some reason... Someone get Mayor Gray a jersey with his name on it please.
