Thursday's legislative calendar does not have S1401 / A2352 on the Senate Economic Growth, Agriculture and Tourism Committee agenda, so it is unlikely that any action will take place this week.

The next meeting for this committee will not be until November 18th, then again on December 5th.
The next time the full Senate meets to vote is December 12th, then again on the 16th.

So, no passage of the stadium bill for at least seven weeks.

Wake me up when final approval is obtained. Do not get your hopes up.

Well at least now we can actually track what's happening. It would be extremely unlikely for the Assembly to pass a bill (which they did, in the spring) and the Senate not even consider it in committee. It will get on the committee agenda eventually, but what happens after that remains anyone's guess.

It is all about timing here.
What politician would want to have a pork bill on the table less than a month before election day.
If I was a betting man, I would say that it hits the comittee at the next meeting.

NJ state officials are elected in odd years, not even, so election-year politics shouldn't have any impact.

Any chance this was not on the docket due to the pending lawsuit against Uncle Phil from the NYS Attorney General? (just speculating)
