Help. Need an answer to this question - Which English League club's ground was bombed during World War 1?

I am pretty sure the answer is Hartlepool United.

The town of Hartlepool (along with several other towns on east coast of England) was bombarded by German warships, but if my recollection is correct (I mean from reading about it, not from being there) the Victoria Ground was bombed by a Zeppelin.

Hartlepool still, I think, has an outstanding claim for damages against the German government over this.

I think it may have been dropped last year as I recall. Something along the lines of only one guy really carried on the campaign and he gave it up.

Here's one source: On the morning of December 16th, 1914, there were 235 ships in Hartlepool Docks, prompting the first aerial bombardment of England by Germany. The Victoria Ground escaped undamaged but two years later its Main Stand was destroyed by bombs dropped from a fleet of Zeppelins" I have to say that December of 1914 was pretty early in the campaign so I was surprised that it happened that early.
