Sat just behind her in a class back in 2001 (theater style seating). Did not know who she was, though. Accidentally smacked her in the back of her head with my book-filled backpack (she was sitting, leaning back as I pulled my backpack off the ground just behind her. I spent five minutes apologizing and she spent five minutes holding her head, tears in her eyes, saying, it's okay, I'm fine. As i was finally leaving the place a friend asked me what I had against her. Did I hate Star Wars 1 that much? Anyway, Portman's question is legit. The answer, god, i hope so.
Adorable! Though you're lucky you didn't get mobbed and beat up by gentlemen making lightsaber sounds and saying "M'lady" repeatedly. Google says the transfer window opens today, so hopefully we're able to get our new guys registered, in training, and up to speed with the rest of our crew very very soon. Not optimistic for all of them to be in the lineup for this game though.
Mosquera and Karic are gonna be dependent on their ITCs arriving in time. With them signed they could at least start the process early. Neither played in that friendly against Atlanta last week though.
I was just wondering if they've been in town and around the team. But they probably have to wait outside the US.
After a month plus of watching the beautiful game, I'm not sure I am prepared to watch two of the worst teams in MLS battle to see who is worse.
Per club source, Emir Karic has received his P-1 visa and will be eligible to play tomorrow. Notice he was not listed as out on availability report. SKC's summer arrivals looking to make an impact right away. Club is also working on some INTL slots, I'm told. #SportingKC pic.twitter.com/MRJ4bJWxt2— Daniel Sperry (@sperrydaniel94) July 15, 2026 Mosquera wasn't listed either so it's possible all 3 are.
As we saw in the world cup, it takes at least 4 or 5 games of playing together before defenders look like a legitimate defense (a bit less for attackers). That said, upgrading the talent is always a positive, and it's not like we're playoff bound this season, so we have time to figure it out. IMO, this is all about the mini season, then next season, and I'm all in. SKC is going to compete, all the time, with Mallouk as the owner. (edit to add) At this moment, our engaged and interested owner does trail the Saudi Public Investment fund, Newcastle, net worth like $600 billion) and Sheik Mansour at Man City (net worth like $30 billion) and... The Red Bull guy, listed as twice the cash but also a bunch of clubs. After that, it's Mallouk.
About what was expected. Tonight’s team 👊Wyatt Meyer is a late scratch due to illness. pic.twitter.com/B4iMqtpq8P— Sporting Kansas City (@SportingKC) July 16, 2026
So if we had won tonight that would have clawed us back into a tie for last place in the west. With the WC break I had forgotten how absurdly awful SKC played so far this season. tonight is no better. This team is no fun at all
On the “penalty”, the shirt flys up when it hits him. Nothing very clear other than that. Still looking for different view of it.
Idk what you expected. Mid season form? Also, if StL is your bar, they got three goals w/ asterisks against one of the worst teams in mls. Didn’t see that much daylight between the two squads tbh.
Capita's goal was a banger, and Jovelic's goal was a classic Jovelic. We were better with Davis, and better with Karic. Also, what were they after each other about?
Blorian looked pretty good on his debut. Especially considering Miller was doing everything he could to make him look terrible on his debut.
Not to basically sleep walk through the 1st half would be a start. On top of that it's a rivalry game, be up for it.
I thought Blorian looked like someone who was a bit shocked at how hot and muggy it was to play in Missouri in July. He's clearly used to hot weather in Israel, but they don't play in it. And I just checked out the Tel Aviv forecast, and while the temps are similar, the humidity is pretty much zeros across the board. Starting in July in the midwest is almost unfair.
