Both teams on 10 points from 12 games. It won't be a battle of the titans, but it might be a rival's quarrel.

MLS soccer doesn’t even rate this game as one of the top 5 rivalry matchups. I guess a couple of teams well below the playoff line that hate each other don’t get much attention.

Pulskamp was sooo solid that game, that last point blank stop, FRAK that was sweet! The team is so much more forward thinking. Fun. To. Watch.

Garcia was pure class tonight pulling the strings in midfield. Pulskamp with another really good game.

Have to say KZ is doing a nice job with the group. Lots of young players improving week to week. I'm especially impressed by Pulskamp. Started the season looking very shaky. Now is a quality starter.

Amazing what happens when you let a young player build confidence by continually getting games instead of immediately falling back to your experienced veteran at the first sign of trouble.

There are other differences, but to me this is the biggest difference with the coaching change.

Playing the kids is showing fans that there actually is a core group of competent/young players that Mr Burns can build around. Seeing that has raised my optimism for the club tenfold.

The team still isn't very good, but the building blocks are there.

Was Shapi doing the "neener-neener" thing, or moose antlers?

The first half was kind of a classic no reward for us match. The second, and I think we can put this down to quite a bit of skill on our side, was really nice to watch

And that bit of skill on the ball by Manu? Holy wow. How many did he beat in that 3 square yard box, nut-megged two? Just total class

Was cupping his hands to his ears b/c St. Louis had been booing him most of the second half.

He’s Russian so it was a nod to ‘Moose and Squirrel’.

Garcia was really impressive last night. We had seen flashes of his ability in previous games, but last night he put on a show. It was the inability of the attack to get that last pass through the STL defense that kept SKC out of the net, until that pretty sequence between Garcia, Leibold and Shalloi for the first goal. It’s that kind of off-the-ball movement that is developing for SKC that is going to be promising for their attack this season.
Pulskamp was solid all night. No MLS goalkeeper would have stopped either of those two goals, one a banger and the other just dumb luck. Also, credit to both Voloder and Miller who played another solid 90 minutes.
I like that KZ has taken the shackles off the team by just letting them play to their individual strengths and instincts.
And lastly, I don’t know what the issue was between Pompeu and Shapi, but that was fun to watch, especially when Shapi got the last laugh when he served in the ball that ended up in the net off off Joveljić’s head. Pompeu was so pissed he was still complaining after the final whistle.

There was a moment early in the second half where SKC tried to break and Pompeu fouled Shapi around midfield. Probably shoulda been a yellow card for a tactical foul to stop a promising attack, but the ref last night seemed fairly inconsistent with his card. They then spent the next 5 minutes jawing with each other. From there it just continued, St. Louis fans noticed and started booing Shapi every time he touched the ball.

The other thing that has become apparent is the emergence of Salloi. The guy is playing with a lot more intensity and confidence. When was the last time you saw him jack up the ref for a bad call and get a yellow card? Hmm, if it’s the mustache that’s giving him confidence, then I think he should go full beard along with a full sleeve tattoo.

I thought both Miller and Voloder did a really good job of shutting down Klaus, though that isn't such a big deal these days. I still kind of hope at some point an SKC players delivers to him the deserved retribution for his cheap shot on Agada. I mean, I think he'd hope it would come from an SKC player, and not Agada himself.

Watching MLS highlights, there were a couple other players in pretty much the exact spot from where they hit their first, but those shots were either at keep or wide. This one won't be goal of the week, but it will be a nominee.

I took a lot of joy out of this match. I went in wanting 3 pts, but was satisfied with the comeback

The issue is Pompeu is an ass hat. In a team full of a-holes, he's the most dislikable player besides the Brazilian with a German last name (wonder has his grandpa did for him to end up in Brazil)?

Every match with St. Louis is the same $hit....KC skill vs STL fouls. It pissed me off when our guys chopped down the LAG players becuase they were better than us (neither Paintsil no Peck playing in their 7-0 drubbing from Red Bull as a result of KCs consistent and persistant fouls), so I call this out either way.

StL soccer is garbage. Why anyone would pay money to see a crap team lose while playing crappy unatractive soccer is beyond me.
