Wondering who AC St. Louis management is considering for goalkeeper? Apparently the KC Wizards are through with Kevin Hartmann, and the NYRB cut Danny Cepero a few days ago. Hartmann's salary in 2009 was $165,000, Cepero earned $34,000.
I like Cepero. He was very good for New York when he was in goal. Also, not only does he stop goals, he knows how to score them! Plus, he doesn't need to take performance-enhancing drugs to stay on the pitch lol I however don't think that he'll sign for 34,000 though.
Any of these guys international players? I heard AC St. Louis was going to aggressively pursue internationals and fill all 7 slots allowed. Anelka is sure to have some connections overseas.
So far I am happy with the French signings that he has on board. Both players have experience in the Championnat National. Still, as far as France, the CN is about how high the team will be able to go as far as signing players. I don't see any Ligue 2 players coming until the league become a little bit bigger. I am interested to see if Anelka will be able to forge some new relations with countries like Cameroon, Togo, Senegal and other French-speaking African countries. There is sooooo much talent there, and I think the NASL can tap some of it.
Re: Potential Players? lol I split a hotel room with him during and were on the same team during tryouts. He's very good. He played out of position in midfield the first day and did exceptionally well. He's a defender by the way. The first day he scored both of our teams' goals, one of which came from a penalty that I set up from making some fancy moves in the box lol JP has great touch too. He told me that before he moved from Ecuador to the states, every day he played futsal. Except on Sundays, which is when he played outdoors with his fam.

No, I think he meant out of all the defenders they have signed so far. I don't recall seeing his face at tryouts, and I'm a forward/wing midfielder, so I saw every defender out there lol

Like ACStL defender Dillon Barna, Hagop Chirishian is another alum of the Ventura County Fusion (the 2009 PDL champs). He seems to be something of an attacking mid: he led the team with four goals in 2008 and scored five in 2009. Here's the official press release for all four signings: http://www.naslnews.com/2010/02/ac-st-louis-sign-four-more-players.html
Wow! I saw the videos of Titton and I'm really excited to see him play! He has great creativity and has impeccable touch while on the run, idle, or being marked by multiple defenders. Let's hope that he doesn't make too big of a splash this first season so that we can watch him play for years to come.
Hagop is good. Lethal right foot, sort of plays in a Steven Gerrard/Frank Lampard role, sitting behind the strikers when he gets forward, hovering at the edge of the box for loose balls.
Titton looks awesome! Looks to have a great first touch and ball skills. Has good awareness for the goal and likes to get up in the air to attack the ball (not wait to make a play on it.) Doesn't seem to have a big leg though, but at 19 prob could develop a little bigger strike.
And here's the news: http://interact.stltoday.com/blogzo.../2010/02/ac-st-louis-signs-luke-kreamalmeyer/ Definitely nice to see a signing with real D2 experience.
Solid signing. He became surplus after we signed Gregory Richardson in the second half of the season last year but even before that, he wasn't really getting consistent minutes so him leaving isn't a surprise to me. And I was never really sure why though - he works extremely hard and he can score goals.
That Hagop Chrishian or however you spell it, that kid we signed amoung the four last week. There's alot of his high school age footage on youtube. Looks pretty good, and when i searched his name on bigsoccer a couple years ago he was apparently training with Lisbon. So maybe Lisbon>Ronaldo>Filho>AC ? Oh well I'm just glad he looks decent.
I was told former University of Evansville GK Alec Dufty, who spent time with New York Red Bulls last year, will be signing.
