I don't think so. Too much damage has been done to that brand and I don't know that it really held much value anyway. I would imagine anyone wanting to start a new team would want a fresh start not tied to Cooper's group.

Ok, thanks Sport Billy...I knew he had some connection to St. Louis but I couldn't remember. IIRC, his name would come up as a person who could bring MLS to St. Louis.

 

Don't forget former St.Louis Steamer Jim Kavanaugh is interested in getting a NASL team in St.Louis.

 

It looks like NASL might not be in the cards for St.Louis, but USL Pro is:

People have been talking about Glavin moving his team up to the USL Pro for a few years. He doesn't have the money (or doesn't want to blow what he has), so this is highly contingent on a money man joining him. Once the Ambush are up and running, bleeding money all the way, their owner may reconsider funding outdoor as well.

 

That's not true! There is a third party that will be behind the Ambush/USLPro team and speculation is that Celtic FC will be the third party. By the way the teams name will be called the St.Louis Chupacabra SC.

 

Sounds like an awesome plan.
