It appears Jamiro Monteiro's red card was upheld, he will be suspended vs St. Louis City SC https://t.co/oQLOZykGsX— /r/SJEarthquakes (@rSJEarthquakes) March 16, 2023
Considering one of our players was smacked in the chin in the last game, knocked to the ground, and no foul was even called, I would say: inconsistent. Not to mention that it appeared TT was grabbed around the neck and thrown to the ground and that was only a caution. By the book, can you justify that red? Sure. But then at least call fouls on the other head attacks.
2-0 St. Louis. Come on Quakes, prove me wrong, but for better or worse I think we are too dependent on Monteiro to play effectively without him. I’d feel slightly better about it if Niko were available.
Start TT at attacking center mid and watch us crush them!!! Some of us would have said in like 2017...

"Since the beginning of last season, San Jose has just one win in 20 away games (six draws and 13 losses), which is tied with the Colorado Rapids for the fewest road wins during that period." Yep, we suck on the road. Hopefully this year will be a little better, but I'm not expecting any miracles. We will mostly suck again, hopefully a little less.
He'd do fine, but I don't think there'd be any "crushing" happening . I hope he gets a chance to play in the midfield again at some point before his career fades out.
His career has faded out. What you mean to say is, I hope get gets a chance at midfield to try and resurrect his career that he never really had.
I think she’s great! And she’s more critical of our team now that they aren’t her employers. I always want to hear Danielle!
St. Louis CITY SC vs. San Jose Earthquakes Eric Krakauer, Lloyd Sam We have very good commentators tomorrow! They've been some of the best this year. While Followill/Slaton and Rogondino/Pearce are some of the worst reviewed. Slaton is calling the Galaxy Game. Her work during the Minnesota game was awful. They have played prettier soccer than I think a lot of folks expected, but never forget that they're built on Energy Drink Soccer physicality and directness (they have only eight passing sequences of nine-plus passes all year, which is the fewest in the league). The Quakes have got to be able to ride those challenges and win those physical duels. If you don’t, you lose.
