What the heck? I'm going to predict a tie. We are going to have a lot of close games and ties this year. Not sure who is going to replace Monteiro. HIs passing and decision has been poor in general, but we will miss his work rate.
I haven't been a big fan of the rotating commentators. Also, I only re-watched a portion of the game, but Danielle kept spouting out stats which was annoying. I assume she was told to provide the info. We will see how it evolve over the season...
Bundle up kiddies! "Right now, weather guessers team #1 have Saturday's high around 34 and low around 21, with a NW breeze about 17 MPH, and weather guessers team #2 has the gametime temps in the high 20s with low 20s wind chill. Both promise "partly cloudy" which can feel like just-stepped-out-of-the-shower-into-a-frigid-room-and-can't-find-a-towel delightful. I don't think dogsleds are needed, but multi-layer wrapped-like-a-mummy wouldn't be overdoing it." Quoted from the St. Louis boards.
Here in Wisconsin there are 12 seasons: Winter Fool's Spring Second Winter Spring of Deception <--------- Right now we are here Third Winter The Pollening Actual Spring Summer Hell's Front Porch False Fall Second Summer Actual Fall
Summer is between "Actual Spring" (of course squeezed due to "The Pollening") and "Hell's Front Porch". How long does it last? About a week? This year not so much, but normally I think we essentially have one long summer - one sunny day after another, some days colder than others, though it can be further broken down like this: Colder Summer Early Summer Summer Indian Summer
Warm weather in autumn. Well-known expression among us ancients. Since this is the St. Louis thread, here’s how the Euros (famous Czech poster artist Alphonse Mucha, in France) perceived the Americans, circa 1904.
Episode 4 of “Quakes Exclusive” (labeled “Prepping for St. Louis”) is now available to view in MLS Season Pass. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
If you live in a part of the country where fall actually begins in early September (September is not the hottest month of the year in most of the U.S.) and you can feel winter (the real kind, with ice/snow) rolling in, and then suddenly you get a brief reprieve and it's pleasant and warm for a while -- that's Indian Summer. Probably not a PC term though.
