Outside of Jordan Older, the #1 person probably ever talked about on Yanks Abroad that "nobody" has ever heard of (aside from folks known to toot their own horns, Jordan Older and Melchior Arnold) was SM. I hope you're not serious about your MLS remark(without a background I have no idea if you were serious or joking). He's had a really spotty record over there. I think the funny part was not only that he never distinguished himself in any way, but that it was not at all clear he was American. He has both Brazilian and Italian heritage (obvious from reading your little blurb on him); however, he is definitely a St. John's guy. Joselito Vaca is going to be 100X better. Then again, this is the Metros we are talking about, and with their player history...we may just see him one of these days.

The program hit the skids when Louie C retired. The guy was great. Class develops class. Glad to learn that the charges against the Johnnies turned out to be trumped up. But who can be surprised? They haven't been scoring all season, why should it be any different after the game?
That was prior to years of mediocrity in his actual record. I'm probably one of the few Metros supporters with family near the Swindon ground. I've seen him a couple of times live, and played against him about nine years ago. He chose not to use MLS as a proving ground, and I'd say he's proved that he's just not that great. At 26, he's hardly a prospect anymore.
