You are defending the indefensible. I have stated my arguments and ask for yours of which you cannot provide except to write another 10 paragraphs diatribe of which if I am going to rebut you then it will never end so I will let you have the last word.

All I will say is you want to go all sentimental and be eternally grateful to ADL just because he saves the club some 16 years ago ( and already profited enormously from it ), and will willingly overlook all his flaws, weakness and mistakes, you are of course entitled to your opinion so be my guest. We here just don't share it.

I'll rather we have Gattuso. But we will mostly likely end up with Spalletti because he is a yes-man and the type that ADL will like very much.

If the players are unmotivated, then I don't blame Ancelotti and these players must be sold. I have a heard time figuring out if it's the players who are unmotivated because of the lack of new additions and them knowing they couldn't achieve a scudetto run on their own (If this is the case it is a loser mentality because Ancelotti has said time and time again he believes in this group).

If it is Ancelotti and I blame Ancelotti for the formation we play with, I think in a 4-4-2 you need to use the right cm's who can help on both sides, only Allan can win the ball back in the middle, I love Fabian but he's more suited to a 3 man midfield.

I think it's both. Players becoming disillusioned and unmotivated and Ancelotti running out of ideas how to motivate them. His constant rotation doesn't help either as there isn't a core group of players. He's the opposite of Sarri. Sarri hardly rotates, and Ancelotti rotates too much. Both are not good strategy in the long term. There should be a balance. However, I recall last season we also rotate a lot and didn't have this bad performance.

But we know the biggest problem and that's ADL. There is no other club with a owner like De Laurentis, who talks so much shit to the press and he has been undermining nearly all the key players with his verbal diatribe. No other Presidents of football club I can recall talked so much rubbish and many are outright lies or delusion of grandeur. Such things should really be beneath a club President to say and it's downright embarrassing to hear but he is a senile, deluded old bastards who wants attention and that will never changed. Of course the press is only too happy to indulge him as they can publish another sensational headlines. Not to mention he is known also to undermine the coach, venturing into team meetings and locker room offering his unsolicited "advice", etc. I have a reason to believe this got much worse during Ancelotti's reign than Sarri.

I think I am about done for criticizing ADL without starting to sound like a broken record but it's the sad truth and all these talk from you guys about new coach, new players or new formation etc is not going to get us anywhere as long as ADL is around.

This is my problem. We were in decline all of 2019. Ancelotti should have known if players were not motivated in summer. Something is not right here.

Also tactical flaws have nothing to do with motivation and he had those issues at Bayern as well.

Carlo is a dinosaur he is no longer relevant as a coach and should go to China.

I think both the players not being motivated anymore and Ancelotti not being able to work with this group. The so called Leaders of this team have let us down; Insigne, Mertens, Callejon, Allan and Koulibaly have been some of the worst players so far this year. They need to lead but seem like they don't even care anymore.. also seems they aren't what they used to be and age is catching up to them (Mertens and Callejon).

On the other hand Ancelotti needs to take control of this situation. If he can't and he's lost the group then he must go.

The problem is if we get a new coach but the players keep their attitudes then we have sacked Carlo for no reason. I can't see the players being motivated under any other coach who is being rumoured to take the job so I think it's almost pointless to sack Ancelotti and rather we just bring in new players because if Ancelotti has anything it's his reputation to bring in top players to the club which a manager like Spalletti or Gattuso can't do.

Very difficult situation and ADL has not set the team up proper going into the season with "Leaders" being on their last year of their contracts. Should have sold them or renewed for another year. Now we are in this situation because he handled Mertens and Callejon poorly and they lead the group so when their moral is down it affects the team and this is evident for all to see.

    But what is the solution?

How can you replace these players? With what money? The players Ancelotti can attract cost a lot.

These players were poor all of 2019. If it was not Ancelotti’s tactics but rather players’ poor morale, why did Ancelotti not sell them in summer?

I have already argued and yes, it may have been extensively. However, if it chance, as it often does, that one will become able to listen instead of just hearing, then maybe, just maybe, we will have realized that we haven't really been disagreeing about what you have stated above. I suspect sentimentality on your turf rather than my own, for all I have been doing is looking at the big picture.

And please do be so kind as to stop using the majority vote against me. I am a sort of a philosopher, so I live with the awareness of human mortality, so it's not like being right in these matters has any real weight regarding anything. What we do here, we do for the sheer pleasure of discussion, even though you have obviously found sth else in my posts. I concede that sts I may come off a bit bitchy or sth, but that's just the style I have chosen to give the post some substance to flavor it, per se.

Anyway, sorry if I have offended you. I will now send forth an argument of a singular hue, with no bifurcations. I will utilize the device of a short anecdote to finally, hopefully, make myself clear.

When I was a young scholar studying at elementary school, I and my 2 good friends had just broken the blackboard when the teacher came in. I was the best student of the lot, and I sure knew how to manipulate the teachers into believing that I could never have broken the rules. Yet it was me who had initiated the whole situation that both consequently and subsequently led to the crime. The point is, to put the blame on 1 person where there are many is just as stupid as trying to put your dick in a hive.

Why the hell do we have to blame DL alone when it is quite clear that the culprits are many? If you agree with the conduct of the players and the coach, then I have no problem with that, but I simply do not understand that...

Hopefully we don’t go up. Maybe we can go to the EL and win it with a new coach. That is our only chance for CL qualification.

Play 433, keep it simple and we can escape with a narrow respectable defeat. 442 needs to go idk what Carlo was thinking playing it once again

After some thinking I feel the best option for us is to drop to a 4-5-1 try to grind a result. Can turn to a 4-3-3 when attacking and also keep in mind Insigne will not be with us for this match.

    Mertens
    Zielinski - Elmas - Allan - Fabian - Callejon
    Rui - Manolas - Koulibaly - DiLorenzo
    Meret

If we can just control the middle but keep their fullbacks honest such as with Callejon tracking back for Robertson and Zielinski with Trent. Elmas and Allan are our 2 best ball winners so having them both out should help us.

We will definitely need to pray for us to get any result out of Anfield.

The chance of us now winning at Ansfield is as good as ADL forking out 500 million to sign Messi. But then stranger things have happened in football. Say if Mertens is in one of his "God mode", that might actually happen.

Lose by more than a 3 goal margin and I can't see Carlo on the touchline against Bologna
