With Caravjal and Mendy out vs Chelsea it's highly likely that we will play with 3 at the back Varane/Ramos/Eder ? Valverde RWB and Vini LWB ?

 

Or 4 with Nacho (if he isn't injured) at LB and Odri at RB, right now you never know with ZZ, and that's not a criticism, i love the flexibility most times.

 

Means we are cripple both at LB and RB. Nacho is great defensively not sure if he will be effective going forward. Wish Vasquez didn't get injured he was perfect playing the RB position.

My how his fortune has changed, there were talks of selling him around December.

 

We need to patience with talents for sure.

 

You're not wrong, but the types of performances he put in this year are leaps and bounds better than our Brazilian wingers have had.

 

This isn't true. We're just prisoners of the moment.

 

Militao was 4th choice before injuries to Ramos and Varane and almost went out on loan in January. Everyone thought his RM career was done after the early red card vs Levante. Luckily he got chances to prove himself and did exceptionally well from February to the end of the season. Rodrygo had bad luck with injuries at a time when he was scoring/assisting in a stretch of games.

This is what some fans and some papers thought, no one in the know ( from inside the club) ever said anything about Eder going out on loan and for sure i did not think his Madrid career was over,

The club spent a lot of money to get him knowing we already had great defenders so he'd have to wait, people want to sell papers and some fans have no patience.

 

Militao stayed because he was willing to fight it out despite barely playing. Liverpool were interested on loan and had he wanted to leave like Jovic and Odegaard mid-season, he would have. Club spent more money on Jovic too and let him leave mid-season.

 

But the "club" never said they wanted him to go on loan so what i said still stands, the "idea" that he " almost went out on loan" is pure fabrication, no one at the club said they wanted him to be loaned, that seemed to be all paper talk, and it seems he never asked to go on loan.

To the contrary he had his head on and even made it known publicly that he knew he was behind great players at CB and that he'd have to wait his turn in terms of mins, this is Madrid, smart player and IMO different situation as far as the club and player is concerned when it comes to both Jovic and Martin
