Liverpool's #1 Karius kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 win, it was his 3rd EPL clean sheet in 6 games, 50%.

So would you guys be comfortable with ter Stegen being the number 1 for Germany this world
Cup and neuer number 2? If Neuer comes into the WC with
    Minimal playing time ???
Would it be a risk to play Neuer with so
Little playing time ? To be honest I would prefer Neuer but if he won’t come back soon I wonder if that would be wise !

he'll get almost 3 months of games that's not to bad. I would still play Neuer.

Jannik Huth's 1st game on loan for bottom of the Eredivisie Sparta ended in a 1-0 win and with that he gets a clean sheet. Massive win for his team as they jump to 14 pts, still on the bottom but with survival still within reach.

Karius played a huge part in Liverpool not losing today, in a 2-2 draw. Saving 1 Kane PK if it wasn't for the PK save, Liverpool could have lost 3-2.

I’d prefer Ter Stegen to Neuer

He has been absolutely beasting for Barcelona. And I’ve watched at least 15 Barca games this season

Ulreich extends his Bayern stay until 2021, well I guess he's like Wagner, willing to stay on the bench. Neuer will only be 35 by then.

well I guess this buys Fruchtl time to take the #1 spot.

Well the situation with Neuer worries me a bit, to be honest. No doubt he's still the better keeper compared to Mats but he needs to be in top form to be better than Marc. I also have my doubts with his speed and timing playing as a keeper sweeper. A situation like Lehmann's tackling in the CL final and a red card in a crucial ko match at the Worldcup will be a horror scenario.

Unfortunately, Neuer is also the captain of the NT and Löw will play him even if he thinks that Mats has the better form. We can just cross fingers and trust Neuer to get to his best level before the WC.

it's another reason why Bayern need to get past Besiktas in the R16, the more games the more game time and practice against top teams in the CL is good for Neuer and us for the WC prep.

The only upside is that he is actually taking the time to heal for once. He has had this injury 3 times in his career, and in all previous instances had a plate put in his foot and returned too quickly. Hopefully, fully healed, and with enough matches he will be back to his best.

My biggest worry is the pace of his recovery. Bayern is sending him to a warmer climate for 10 days to continue his rehab. I wonder if he will even be ready by the end of March.

wow, no good news at all. Especially for keepers, rhythm and long time form is crucial. Look how Mats had several problems before he was starting in both league and cup competitions or Ullreich at Bayern, who had several bad mistakes in the Hinrunde before developing into a human wall for them. One month of playing is like nothing for a goalkeeper. Even Manuel will have a hard time reaching his best. I would definitely feel more relaxed if I could be sure Löw and Neuer will decide reasonable before the World Cup, evaluating his form by facts. But somehow I doubt this, especially goalies are known for their megalomania and I'm not sure Löw will be strong enough to make such a decision right before the tourney if Neuer won't find his best form. MatS is just too strong to sit on the bench if Neuer is not at his best, especially with the ball and with speed.

Kopke is very optomistic. Before the 2014 WC, Neuer wasn't out for more than 6 months with a broken foot.

MaTS is a WC keeper and should start if Neuer isn't showing fantastic form for Bayern.

Reported to be moving to Benfica keeper Odysseas Vlachodimos who is currently in Greece.

has kept his 9th clean sheet of the season today in a 1-0 win. And is now tied in 2nd place for clean sheets in the Greek Super League. Only 3 behind 1st place.
