  1. After another brilliant show by Onana it's for sure he will be bought by a big money club.
So is there a German young goal keeping talent that should try to land there?

at Ajax? hmmm, that seems more likely to be a permanent move. Not sure any club will allow any of the top talents to leave permanently unless they got a buyback min. Although could be interesting for sure if someone does go there.

  3. Unnerstall got lucky a goal was eradicated, otherwise he would be on watch all over the world with an amazing goal scored against him.
The Emmen player saw him standing way for his goal and delivered an on target shot from his own half at the right side line close to the midfield line. It was quite comical seeing Lars running back to the goal and making a fruitless last gasp jump to try to get the ball. The goal was disallowed by the VAR as the shooter made a foul to get the ball.

Marc-André ter Stegen of FC Barcelona took second place in the award-winning "Ballon d'Or" of the French football magazine France Football for the best goalkeeper in the world in the "Yashin Trophy". Liverpool's Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker (27) won the first prize since this year, Manchester City's third was also Brazilian number one Ederson (26).

ter Stegen in 2nd place BUT, Becker himself is German descent, his father/grandfather both spoke German while his wife is also a Brazilian of German descent.:whistling: Also Becker when he was in Roma supposedly he was nicknamed, "The German", LOL.

BREAKING: Alexander Nübel has reached an agreement with FC Bayern on a 5 year contract starting from 1 July 2020 [BILD]

The plan for Nübel is to join Bayern in the summer, train at the highest level & get to know his new club. Nübel will be number 2 behind Manuel Neuer but will regularly get game time in consultation with Neuer. And when Neuer stops in 2023, Nübel replaces him as number 1

Alexander Nübel will join Bayern in the summer on a free transfer. Nübel will be number 2 behind Manuel Neuer, will get regular game time in consultation with Neuer and be built up to become number 1 in the long term. An initial loan to another club is not excluded

Hasan Salihamidžić presented Alex Nübel's camp with a very clear strategy of how the transition in goal can take place at Bayern. And although Neuer is about to extend his contract until 2023, Nübel was so convinced that he rejected all other offers [Kicker]

FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid and AC Milan, among others, have all showed interest in Nübel. But their current starting goalkeepers are all younger than Manuel Neuer. Nübel will officially become a Bayern player on 1 July 2020 [Kicker]

This is very worrying. Neuer's contract until 2023. So this means Nubel as understudy for 3 consecutive seasons?? 20/21, 21/22, 22/23?? That's quite long. I cannot believe Neuer will accepting play sharing between Bundesliga and UCL. At the best, Nubel will playing merely at Pokal for 3 consecutive years.

I agree I'm not into it either, should have stayed at Schalke for another 2 seasons. Current reports are that Neuer is being a monster, he doesn't want to share any game time not even friendlies.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I understand why the interest, Nubel has been likened a lot to Neuer. On the +, Nubel leaving will make the current German U21 #1 Schubert become #1 at Schalke. So good for German U21 and to have more German GKs at highest level. On the -, Fruchtl/Hoffmann should leave and Nubel risks not as much game time over next 2-3 years. He turns 24 next year, so he'll be Bayern #1 at 26-27.......

although NT wise I would say it's best if Bayern #1s are always German.

Low and Kopke seem very critical of Nubel moving to Bayern. I agree why didn't he move when Neuer was close to the end? Neuer is extending until 2023......Not 3 years away.....

I found a glaring deficiency in Unnerstall's toolbox that was already showing but in the confrontation with Ajax became glaring visible.
He's completely useless with the ball at his feet and that's something you cannot afford as a Dutch goalie of one of the top teams.
He's very uncomfortable playing the ball with his feet (and as a result gets into difficulties) and on top/as a result of that he is a terrible passer. Both deficiencies led to the Ajax goal.

yes he's an old fashioned GK.

dfb is trying to make all GKs able to play with ball at their feet to essentially make them outfield players and more suited for possession too. It's why from 98-onwards there are more and more interesting GKs coming up compared to a lot of the older age groups.

and those guys will find it easier to breakthrough the pro levels too since their skills are more in demand.

    Modern GK vs Old fashioned.....
