I think this little bit of information is important. I don't think Earthquakes LLC would try to lauch two teams at the same time. I don't think they would want to dilute the effort for the Quakes to hit the ground running. This convinces me even more that they intend to restart the Quakes in 2008, and then maybe add the women's team in 2009.

I'm pretty sure the answer is obvious, but I'll ask it anyway : Would the revenues from the CyberRays'/Tremblers' home games all go to the San Jose Earthquakes or would they be split 50-50 with SJSU? After all, if the Earthquakes and the women's team will share the same ownership, wouldn't the latter's home games be considered "Earthquakes-hosted events"? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G

If the plan is to have a womens soccer team play at Qualcomm, I'd hold off adding San Diego. Unless of course, they want to place a team at the University of San Diego.

Agreed. Stick with tradition, and the brand name already has a foothold in the community, at that. However, make it the San Jose CyberRays, and you have a deal. Also hoping to catch up with drinks in a couple of years' time with the group, as well.
