I think if you are up one goal and there's 10 mins left, ok park the bus.

but there was 40' left. horrible strategy by Tuchel. What do they pay him for? anyone could do what he did

and he didn't take TAA, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden. what a loser manager

he cost them the WC final

Parking bus vs Mexico - reasonable.

but vs Argentina, who can score in more ways, with better talent? dumb!

Anywho - to keep this Spurs related - Porro vs Romero in the final!

However much time is left, if you're gonna park the bus, you should probably actually defend. From England's goal on, they're lucky not to have let in five. And all after not giving them a look for the better part of an hour.

I'm not suggesting that Tuchel isn't a good manager or anything, but he got his subs waaay wrong tonight.

Whatever. Shall we move on to the football that matters now?

Tuchel channeling his inner Southgate with those tactics and subs post Gordon's goal.

Very happy for Porro. I was cheering for anyone playing England before, now I'm pulling for Spain just because of Porro. He is one of the best players at the tournament right now.

Ironically, Spence was the least Spursy player for England last night.

Reminds me of when Crouch was playing for us, and someone as a joke posted his stats under the name 'Pedro Cruz' recommending we try to buy that player.

Tuchel is over rated because he's not English.

ETA: sure he has a Big Cup on his CV, but Chelsea and Bayern fans say this is how he's always been.

Kane did just OK... Spence did decent.
But I wonder... should Tuchel have included other players in the roster.
Also, should he have started other players, like Rashford and Saka? (even though the RW and LW, Gordon, scored, but I feel Rashford and Saka would have been more dangerous overall).
Apparently E. Anderson is the next Declan Rice or something. I'm not familiar. It did not seem like anyone was feeding Kane. If anything Kane was playing midfield which he often does.

Spence played another excellent game against France. That's at least 3 acorns now for that particular blind squirrel.

No Kane and 6 goals. I've always said his absence frees up the others as it did for Spurs and as it has for England. I say what I've said before............drop Kane.

I think this has nothing to do with Kane.

But I did tell my friends right after the Argentina game that they should have started Rashford at LW and Saka at RW. I feel kind of smart now lol

The problem with the last game was that they parked the bus way too soon. essentially

In this match they played to win

It has been a good World Cup for Spurs!

What a contrast... for these players who almost were relegated

Uhhhh....everyone else has been dogsh1t for Spurs since Kane left.
Toney and Watkins were truly unleashed in the game against France without Kane on the pitch in their position, and both were sh1te.

Your comments re Kane echo Burkinshaw's about Jennings, 'You're making Daines look bad. You're not coming on the pre-season tour.'
'Drop our greatest ever striker. He's making our shit strikers look shit, which they are.'
Jennings then went on to have a stellar few seasons in goal for Arsenal.

Doesn't scoring 6 against France without him speak for itself? He was dropped and the others stepped up. When was the last time England scored 6 and France conceded 6. Yes, he's our greatest ever striker I'll agree but all careers have to come to an end. Where was he against Argentina? He let us down on the big occasions and he did in the semi final in the WC. Don't ask me to explain it because I can't but his absence frees up the others and it was proven yesterday. England proved they are better without him. What matters more, Kane scoring more goals or England winning trophies?

10 goals in the third place playoff.....0 in the final. What a let down.

    Congrats to Spain

They are a complete team. The undisputed Champions

They only gave up one goal the entire tournament!
How? It seems to me, they defended by keeping the ball, keeping it away from their goal, not allowing too many shots, pressuring opponent constantly, being well organized defensively.

They didn't simply park the bus like many others. But of course, we know Spain is capable of this way of playing; while many others are not. Yet, will this spur a new push across the globe to copy this style again, a new wave

You mean the same guy who scored 2 against DR Congo when England were 1-0 down?
