Why would you put CB as your 2nd PK taker? That's on the coach.
It was a horrible PK but he should not have been put in that situation.

Other PK miss was by Cucho Hernandez who won title with the other team I support (Columbus Crew)

Side note but is there any other WC with as many bad PKs as this one?
So many misses by many teams.

I agree on the CB, most defenders should NOT be taking a penalty kick over attackers and midfielders. As far as I have found, Sanchez is 0-2 in his career on penalties in shoot outs. Missing at the 2021 Copa and then yesterday.

Credit to him for stepping up to take it, but I agree, no way a coach should have put him in that spot.

When will players learn? Just step up, pick a spot, and hit it. Stop with the overthinking and stuttering!

He's the captain. Didn't that happen earlier to another team (it's all a blur at this point)?

Was anyone expecting Big Dav to score? That had miss written all over it as soon as he stepped up to take the ball.

It was such a horrible PK. But this WC is full of horrible PKs. Maybe its the pressure

It's not as easy as it looks.

Harry Kane - one of the best PK takers. I admire his composure. Specifically I like how he always takes 2 deep breaths. I imagine that calms the nerves. I tell my kid to do that

Certainly not, PK's are much harder than people think, especially fans who have never tried one. But that is also why I do not understand why players make it even more complicated and stutter step or do the side jumps. Just keep it simple.

Does anyone know how many Spurs players are still in the WC? 3?

Spence had an incredible sub appearance against Norway, nearly scored and drew a penalty (overturned by VAR, because we know Spurs players don't get penalties).

Taking Madueke was a mistake. He is bollocks. Contributes next to nothing. I would've brought Bowen.

    France out!
Porro is the highest rated defender at the WC. Can't be our Porro, surely

for real, how is Porro doing better at WC than in the PL

well maybe its that he has better players with him and also he does seem extra motivated, like he doesn't want to let them down.

maybe having Yamal above him on the Right, pulls all the attention to Yamal and allows him to make better runs less contested

well his stock is rising. i'd say he's one of the standouts of this WC. Now he's in the final

With France eliminated, it is now guaranteed that Spurs will have another World Cup winner - Porro, Spence or Sensei. Romero already has one, of course.

Wow what a moment for Porro

    What a tournament for Porro

with this new attention, he will be considered one of the best right backs in the world?

TAA did not make the squad (crazy decision)
    Hakimi is out
    Kounde is out

    Djed's stock also has risen

Probably tottenham will sell porro for a profit

Porro just signed a new contract. Shocking to see his photo in my local newspaper - that has never happened before and will probably never happen again.

Its not Hakimi vs Kounde in the World Cup final.

It could be Pedro Porro vs Djed Spence

    Let that sink in
