I've been watching on Peacock (Telemundo). Much better in Spanish because if they something stupid, I probably won't notice. (I actually understand pretty much.) And no ads.
It felt like watching Spurs, a real lack of quality in attack. We were linked with Jonathan David, thank God we passed, he is dreadful.
Quality turnout at JK O'Donnell's tonight, including a healthy Paraguayan contingency. Quality atmosphere ... Quality beer ... ... I'd rather be watching Spurs, though.
I'm over in the UK for a few days so experiencing the much-less-convenient game times. S.Korea was like 3am so didn't see that one of course. Did see the end of the Canada game, I enjoy watching them play even if the finishing is, er, lacking. Nice to see the familiar face of Paul Staltieri among the Canada coaches. It all feels a bit off, up to now. I didn't have the commercial interruptions discussed above, but still, everything seems a little forced and the shadow of Gianni hangs over it all. Still early days I guess.
England v Croatia is just unbelievable (3-2 on the hour). England pounding on the pressure. Croatia lucky to be only down one.
Hydration break in a covered, climate controlled stadium. But then, there's money to be made. I hate FIFA.
So much Spurs content in England-Croatia and a brilliant game. Two for Kane (with Vuskovic letting him get the header), a Spence appearance and involvement in the 4th goal, Perisic showing he's still elite, and Charlie Corluka on the Croatia bench.
Of course it isn't 30 degrees (86 F) indoors, but still I think it's fair that all the games are played with the same rules. I hate the commercials, but I'm watching on Peacock/Telemundo so I see highlights and stuff instead.

Funny, the last 2 games Canada has played in Vancouver have ended with 6-0 wins. I was at the Gold Cup game last May when we thrashed Honduras 6-0. Absolute scenes in the downtown before and after the match, my office is only a couple of blocks from the stadium. Unfortunately, the game was marred by the broken leg suffered by Ismail Kone, our best midfielder. Qatar are a poor side who completely lost their heads, and we were fortunate we didn't have anyone else injured with some of the terrible challenges they were making. Once again, a poor Conmebol ref (Chile) lost control of the game. Tottenham connection: Spurs legend Paul Stalteri is on the coaching staff.
Was watching the Blue Jays-Red Sox series this week from Fenway Park, and there were a tonne of Scotland and Norway fans in the stands (their sides are playing in Foxborough, which has been renamed Boston by Fifa), creating a football-like atmosphere with their repertoire of songs. Pretty cool that.

Clueless about how hot and humid it gets in many of the stadiums in this tournament. With increasing temperatures this will be the rule across the world.
