A fitting derby between Jose Mourinho and David Moyes, two managers who presided over the demise of Manchester United, and who are now presiding over the death march of their current clubs. While we have been mostly shite under Mourinho, at least we don't have to worry about relegation, as the Canning Town Academy sit above the drop zone on goal difference only, following their abject performance against Wolves.

Mourinho managed to outdo himself on Friday by picking a terrible side, using ultra negative tactics and mind boggling substitutions (Gedson Fernandes anyone?). Starting Eric Dier at centre half ahead of Toby Alderweireld was a gaffe of biblical proportions as the inept defender got done like a kipper by Paul Pogba and conceded the penalty that cost us 2 crucial points in the table. Meanwhile our record signing, Tanguy Ndombélé, sat on the bench for the entire 90 minutes, even though Jose still had 3 subs left to bring on. Predictably after the game the Portuguese bemoaned his lack of reinforcements, despite having 9 subs to choose from! All winter long we heard him telling anyone who would listen how much better this team would be once Kane, Bergwijn and Son were available. So much for that. Over the final 60 minutes of the game, we did not create one scoring chance.

Amazingly, we are still in touching distance of European football, but we are also behind Sheffield United in the table and level on points with Crystal Palace. Part of me wants to see the team go on a run and get CL football, but another wants to see this thing blow up so we can get rid of Jose - the sooner the better.

HT 0-0, we had a Son goal called back for offside by VAR and then Lucas missed a big chance just before the interval.

a long awaited win, but for quite some time we're looking like shit, so narrow and hapless and no effing injuries to excuse for...

FT 2-0, an own goal and then vintage Harry Kane for the second. Always nice to get the double over that lot, let's hope they get relegated.

Kinda hoped that Ndombele would get 10 minutes near the end to get his legs back under him.
