    1-0 Spurs.

Teddy with the Volley in the 69th to seal the points in Villa Park.

Now, Newcastle. Probably the most vital game so far, as Everton lie ahead of us by 1 point, and if Chelsea lose next week, we would have 41 points, as they do.

Sadly, I was at the game & it was poor. Villa were awful & Spurs were only slightly better. At least the crowd was OK (in relative/Villa terms) at around 40,000. God knows where Villa are going this season but i'm depressingly confident it's not Europe.

The game sounded pretty sloppy and unexciting. But, I will gladly take three points away from home. Sounded like, as usual, Spurs had a few other chances to score and couldn't. I hate when they aren't on tv !!!

Newcastle at the Lane next weekend should be a good match (or horribly depressing). I think this will be a very important match in our attempt at securing a Euro spot. We really need the three points, though I don't think we are out of it if we lose. Most of the top eight finish out the season playing against each other. Should make for an exciting ending to the season.

    GLORY GLORY!!!!!

Just got this summation of the game in an e-mail:

In what the Guardian called "among the worst matches in the
Premiership this season," Tottenham stayed in the run for a Europe
spot thanks to Terry Sheringham's 69th minute goal. Keller's save on
a Ulises de la Cruz's 15-yard effort with 5 minutes left preserved
    the tie.
    Tottenham is in 7th place.

First time we've beaten 'em at Villa Park in 16 years. Damn, we needed that!

Love is my last name, in case you were wondering how I came up with such a gay user name. I didn't even realize how gay it sounded til one of the more intelligent posters pointed out that I had left out an "s"....that idiot!! Of course, he was a MetroScum fan.

And, unfortunately, yes, I do love cookies as much as I love soccer, which is one of the "reasons" I tell my wife I have to keep playing...gotta run off those cookies... :D
