It's an early one. I've had two or three (or more) and it's not inconceivable that I might sleep through it. But I hope not.

    Anyway, we'll stuff 'em.

Got the early call. Not sleeping through it, but working through it.

    COYS, and that.

The boys look like they’re playing with the weight of expectations. Everything is slow and off target.

Spurs have woken up for the second half. Kane hits the bar with a header.

Well the result was better than last season even if the performance wasn’t.

    Yeah, it's 3 points. I'll take it.

At this stage last season we were top with 3 wins from 3. Conté out!

Son is having a really slow start and the front three aren’t clicking the way they were yet. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Richarlson make the start next week in place of Son.

I still think we’re missing an Eriksen type player who can thread a pass through crowded defenses.

Saw highlights. Wolves are no mugs and will upset some big teams this year. Not a classic from us but happy with the showing of Perisic and Richy seemed to add a spark. It's great to have options in the front line not just Dane Scarlett (love the lad, but y'know).

We got zero points out of these first 3 fixtures last year.

That's the advantage of strengthening a strength, even though our biggest outlay this summer was on Richarlison. He provides competition in all of the front three positions for Conte.

Got to watch the game with my uncle who was visiting from Tottenham, he used to go see Spurs as a schoolboy back in the Billy Nick era.

Gianni Vio, who is our new attacking set piece coach, is already paying dividends - 2 of our 7 goals have come from corners and we look dangerous from dead balls.
