Rovers getting desperate. They bring on 'Arsenal reject' Bothroyd, and Thompson.

    This is seriously tense stuff!

Kanoute on for Defoe....Jol trying to kill time!

75mins: Superb clearance in front of goal by Naybet after Todd nodded Emerton's deep cross back towards Dickov.

76mins: Thompson 20-yarder flashed inches over although Robinson right behind it.

76mins: Bothroyd blasted into stand from Emerton's knock down.

    77mins: SUB. Gardner for Keane.

82mins: YELLOW. Thompson for deliberate handball.

Good result, well-deserved and against what had been an in-form team.

Jol impressed me by persisting with Brown and Keano, even though they had been in poor form over the past week. Then he took off Keano late on for Gardner which sealed our win as Blackburn did not have the weapons to break through our defence. Bringing in Kelly also helped, he's inexperienced but he has pace which helps us on the right.

First half was not good and the midfield still really needs the likes of Routledge in January, players with pace and creativity. If they can get more linking up on the ground with Keano and Defoe then we will be moving along very nicely.

Good result, great run by Michael Brown for the goal, he played well today.
Stephen Kelly also played well today. Ziegler had a tight hamstring so it was better for him to come off. 2 league wins in a row now so plenty to smile about :)

    We need Edman back ASAP.

F.A. Cup 3rd round draw tomorrow.

Good result. Glad to see Keano score. Brown looked great. Hell, Atouba had a couple nice plays as well.

ok, we've gotten full points the last two matches and have the softest next four matches we're gonna have the rest of the season with ManCity, S'hampton, Norwich and Palace. We really need to get 8-9 points out of the these matches to give us a chance at the top ten.

Man City away could be difficult, you never know what you get with them kind of like us really. Norwich away is also going to be a battle, they will be scrapping like crazy. With Southampton & Palace at home we must get maximum points out of them 2 games. Also another chance to see Wayne Routledge play.

I was watching a Palace game last week, and this kid is CLASS.
He was doing things I've never seen our midfielders do.

Routledge either looks great or dreadful .He has immensely quick feet, but like C Ronaldo often does nothing with the ball.

Excellent win yesterday, superb run by Brown. What was Keane up to though, Brown ran almost the length of the pitch to make his goal, but instead of thanking him, Keane is off giving his stupid celebration.

Probably relief on Keano's part after his rubbishness against 'Pool. Also, most of the team jumped on Brown to congratulate him and only went to Keano afterwards.

Teletext gave Robinson, King, Naybet and Kelly 8/10, which just goes to show!

Did Redknapp actually touch the ball?!?!

That was a great challenge Naybet done pratically on the goal line.

I would like to see Routledge at Tottenham but i dont know if i could be impartial though when talking about his performance.

We used to play for the same Sunday club but he played in the 2 years younger age group than me, but we were the only good teams at the club & we use to train with them. Dont get me wrong if he has been playing crap like Simon Davies has been i will say that.

We have Brighton at home in the F.A. Cup

Some very bad news - Ziegler is out injured for the next 3 weeks, Atouba is facing an FA discipinary charge for an incident against Paul Dickov. Which I think is disgraceful, Dickov was hurling himself around like a madman and only got 1 yellow and nothing afterwards. Would be a huge blow for us to lose our left side like this, especially if Edman is still out as well.

On the positive side Soccer AM said we fielded the youngest average-aged team in the league, even with Naybet out there.

    Robinson - 25
    Atouba - 22
    Kelly - 21
    King - 23
    Naybet - 34
    Ziegler - 18
    Carrick - 23
    Mendes - 25
    Brown - 27
    Keane - 24
    Defoe - 22

That is horrible news about Ziegler. And Atouba -- perhaps the camera didn't catch it but I didn't see anything on Atouba's part the warrants action by the FA. Can't we go more than one week with the same squad on the field and no injuries? I don't ask for much...

And with Davenport, Gardner & Defendi as options to replace him the team could be even younger.

Davenport will partner Richards in the reserves tonight against Arsenal

Cometh the hour, cometh the man.......Jacko's time has come...ahahahahaha!

And to add to our woes, isn't Defoe suspended too?

If Ziegler can just sort out his crossing from set-pieces, he'll be made. He'll be worth a bomb!
