In an effort to milk even more money outta the fans, Spurs have unveiled their Carling Cup Final jersey, which will sell for 44 quid.

Big waste of money, really. The words Carling Cup final have been printed in the midle of the shirt, in between the Puma logo and team crest. Woopty doo.

I'm perfectly content with my regular 07-08 shirt, thanks :)

If/when we win it, I'll purchase one with the matchwinner's name on the back, even if it's an OG.

    LOL :D

Hey, wouldnt it be something if we won the game on an OG by Ashley Cole? That'd really be something, to see you with a Cole Spurs shirt. He wears number 3, in case you forgot! ;)

Yes but the important thing is, none of them are red.

No-one's being forced to buy the kit, it's just a product that's available. I highly doubt anyone with a current white shirt would buy that one too, but there's one born a minute as they say. Yes it's a bit cynical but this is the way successful businesses are run.

say, nick, did arsenal put a CL finals shirt on the market when you lot went?

i don't know. but if not, i'd be surprised. and if they didn't, you can bet the farm it wasn't down to any kind of empathy for the stressed budgets of gooners(TM), but, rather, down to 'opportunity lost'.

I'm just gonna use a magic marker on my current shirt rather than waste the money.

Oh, um, I would imagine so. We put out a Champions League final kit.

Looks like it right between the swoosh and the badge.

I could never see buying one though, cause I mean, it's the same kit...but for a few words. And they're always gonna be a shitload of money.

a certain phrase comes to mind: pride goeth before the fall

vulgar commercialism. the board has already achieved their carling cup final goal. what happens of february 24 only reflects how much they "win" by. i hope

but it's no new phenomenon, though, is it? i mean, if you look at photos of our cup final sides from back in the 60s, you'll see that type of writing on their shirts. "1962 FA Cup Final", or some such. and it's far more clubs than spurs, too.

LOL. What a heck of an image you used to point out Arsenal's cup final kit. I can't help but to pay more attention to Terry getting his teeth knocked out :D

Dude, that's a Carling Cup final kit.

Yes, we did have a "special" kit for the Champions League final but the club never released it. One independent retailer I know of (Subside Sports) released a replica which was the normal Arsenal kit with the same stitching on it that the players kits had:

The only difference is that the club itself NEVER releases these kits (apart from the old Toffs jerseys but that's something entirely different). Another point to note is that Subside (who specialise in these sorts of shirts) never release Carling Cup final jerseys.

Either way, our CC final jersey looked like this (this is a player issue top). The sleeve patches will be on your kit as well.
