If Porro or Spence go down, we will cope by playing Ben Davies at left back. I have been saying for the past 4 windows (at least) that we need another fullback.
Centerback ... left back ... striker ... keeper ... Ben Davies does it all, and makes it look easy. Number oooone is Ben Davies And number twoooo is Ben Davies And number threeeee ... etc.
Davies is OK as a CB, especially if we play with 3 CBs. Not fast enough to play LB at this point. I like the guy, but he's past his prime and keeping him on for one more year instead of signing a new LB (or RB if you figure Spence is a LB) just reeks of Levy penny pinching.
Kudus out until April, at least. Bentancur has a hamstring injury that looks like a bad one. Bergvall still being assessed. The hits keep coming.
Bentancur out for 3 months with a hamstring issue. Honestly, what's going on with all the hamstring injuries at Spurs rn? Are they doing deadlift competitions or something?
Right now as in this year or right now as in going back several years? Certainly last years injury crisis was heavily weighted with hamstring injuries. I think it triggered a review of the medical staff at one point.
Last season it was Odobert in Sep, then a reoccurrence in Nov followed by VdV and Udogie within a week of each other in December then Werner in middle January. Danso also went down in March.
Don't worry, Vinai and Johan are scouring Europe and South America for the next 18-year-old generational talent.
No surprise that Porro has finally got a hamstring injury now that he's played way too many minutes. Spurs just don't see any value in providing the manager with a full squad to choose from.
