Well, the spring season is finally here! Looking forward to seeing how we look, hopefully we start the season off strong with 3 points! My projected XI: ---------------------Zayed-------------------- ---Lacroix------Ubiparipovic-----Braun--- --------------Ring---------Paterson---------- ---Franco----Vukovic---Falvey---Palmer--- ----------------------Busch---------------------
Thanks for starting the thread. This should be an interesting match after a thoroughly uninspiring spring season. Indy won one and drew two against the Rowdies last year, but the identity of Imdy's five goal scorers--Mares, Hyland, Richards, Norales, Frias--shows how little that matters to this year's campaign. DeRoux's injury and subsequent release makes what looked on paper like a solid defense look a little shakier. Let's hope they can hold together. I'm looking for Zayed to score his first.
The official XI was released, Don't know how to post tweets so I'll just list it here: ----------------------Zayed-------------------- ---Lacroix-------Ubiparipovic------Braun-- -------------Ring-------Paterson-------------- --Vukovic-----Janicki----Falvey---Palmer-- -----------------------Busch--------------------
I was able to get it to work on a different computer. For that issue just press pause then play. It will start playing again.
I'll take the draw, with he suggestion of a solid defense. The combination passing still needs work. Early days yet, but better than most of the preseason.
Definitely looked like the combination passing needed work. Hopefully that gets better as the team spends more time together.
Kind of a meh game, but with so many new players that isn't totally surprising. I'm kind of expecting some growing pains in the Spring, hoping by the Fall they have gelled and are looking good.
On the way out of the stadium tonight, I watched a couple of the Indy players engage with some young Rowdies fans, exchanging tips on practicing hard to please the coach. Fun to watch them talk earnestly with 9 year olds, and very classy.
when i read the first couple lines of this post, i was ready to be disappointed. the next couple lines were a happy surprise. thanks for the post.
