Unfortunately for you, Joey Barton's overall lack of class in life caused him to not be permitted into our country.
I see that I did miss your point. Certainly one incident does not a pattern make. On the other hand, this might be a team issue, given what NBH hints at. And, I stand by my assertion that SportingKC is one of the roughest teams in the league. Unfortunate for me and for everyone that paid for that snoozer. Though I enjoyed the game, it was less than I expected in terms of tension. Had the criminal, Joey Barton been there, I feel I would have gotten my money's worth just watching him. (Especially after the Espinoza tackle.)
Why would there be tension? It was a friendly. It was 100 degrees. There wasn't any tension when we played Man Utd or Chivas. The game has to mean something. There was more tension when a few thousand showed up to watch us play the Richmond Kickers.
Can't have your cake and eat it on this forum -- you either like thuggish behavior or you don't ... its all too contradictory to make sense.
And I personally NEVER want to pay money to see a player from the very team I represnt get hacked by Joey Barton. No ********ing way. I don't want it to happen period. Plus, the tackle on Ben Arfa, that was totally Espinoza light. It was hardly a horror tackle. He's done much much worse (much). I still stand by my assertion that Roger is not dirty. You don't see him engaging in any of the silliness that guys like Beckerman or Lenhart (or hell, Collin) does. He just sees every 50/50 opportunity and goes at it with full force. He's way too overeager to get the ball.
