Toronto come to town. They're at home tonight playing Santos in the CCL, fairly first choice lineup for them too.

Last arguably 'easy' game until the final one with Philly. If we can't get three points here while sitting some first choices, we aren't getting the Shield anyway (considering how much harder the rest of our season is compared to SJ's). Thus, time to get some minutes for anyone you think might have a role in a playoff run? Neven, Rosell, Saad?

Why sit first choice players? We're off until the 14th after this game. Against Toronto or not with 13 days off you play the full first team.

Completely agree. It has been difficult enough lately to get three points at home with the full first team. There will be at least one change to the lineup anyway with Sapong (presumably) replacing Bunbury, and it remains to be seen what happens with Espinoza this week.

At least two, with Collin carded out. Neven was brought in to be the Collin when we can't have Collin. Ready to be?

This game should be an easy game but we have not been scoring as much lately. If we play like we have been Toronto has a chance of pulling something off. Hopefully it will be an enjoyable game to watch, but we do not have a striker that is potent so you never know. I personally believe we should start three true strikers and give Zusi a rest for a game. Cant wait for the game though!

who do you propose will get the ball to these three true strikers? having only true strikers means we'll have no wide play, and no zusi means we'll have 3 defensive midfielders with little-to-no creativity.

I wonder if we'll see J. Peterson this weekend finally? Dude was really starting to hit his form before he got injured. I could see him helping our offensive needs.

if he's ready to go, sure. might be the only person in the world who doesn't feel sorry for TFC.

    Kind of doubt it.

"On the upside of the injury report, Vermes said Tuesday that left wingers Bobby Convey and Jacob Peterson are poised to return to training.
Convey has missed three straight League matches and the U.S. Open Cup Final with hamstring soreness, while Peterson has been out for four MLS games and the final with a sprained right shoulder.
“Jacob will enter training this week for a full practice, which is great,” Vermes said. “Convey is getting close to that as well. It’s just about getting those guys back in for the final stretch of the season.”"

    I wish, though.

I still don't get this. WTF is keeping him out? I sprained my shoulder once and it only hampered my throw-in abilities. It didn't hurt bumping into people, and my arm motion while running didn't aggravate it. It sure as shit didn't effect my shooting, passing, breathing, heading, etc.

I could see sitting out a game, maybe two. But 2-3 weeks now of not even training!? (???)

Well, one of PV's favorite things to say, and do, is that he doesn't like to 'rush' anyone's recovery from injury.

Plus, with the opponent, and having two weeks off after Saturday, I see no reason to put in Peterson if he isn't 100%.

But, i've never sprained my shoulder. Only my ankles - like a dozen times.

agree with you on both. I expect the same lineup as sunday plus Olum, assuming Roger is still part of the team. Besler and Olum have more experience together compared to 1 friendly? with Besler/Markovic-he'll be in the 18. Since Peterson is training, he'll be in the 18 but I dont see him starting yet, fitness, health, etc. So we've got Saad, Peterson, Markovic, Thomas as potential subs. Is Joseph healthy, he's not listed on the injury report. CJ should have an advantage v Eckersley at CB but I think Frings will play very close to their CB pair. All in all, SKC are the better team and this needs to be 3 pts

So the girlfriend and I are generally front row over by the Mass St. Mob (in front of Greg, between the KA and NS). This weekend we are bringing a stuffed black cat to taunt TFC's goalie. I *really* want to throw it in front of the goal as he walks down to it before kickoff, but have to balance that with my desire not to be thrown out. If it weren't for the bobblehead incident I probably would be very tempted.

I'm severely against throwing shit on the field. Even stuffed animals. If you decide to do it, just know I'll be rooting for the stadium security.

Agree with vividox... no throwing crap on the pitch.

That said, a huge RESPECT THE CAT sign would fantastic.

Perhaps a chorus of the 'Meow Mix' song on goal kicks and whatnot?

    "Hey, Freddy, Respect the Cat"

Any of our female Cauldronites want to dress up like catwoman?

Meowmix during goal kicks would be awesome!

yeah, yeah... i won't throw it. but, seriously... if not for the bobblehead incident i would probably do it. it could become like an octopus on the ice thing. legendarily following TFC wherever they go, a black cat stuffed animal is thrown on the field before play. when no one throws one, they win. when one is thrown, they lose... sigh at all the idiots who would take it as an invitation to go stupid.

Exactly. While I think the spirit of your stuffed black cat throwing is quality, all 19,000 other fans surely won't recognize it as such. All they'll see is some bloke throwing something on the field. Cue up the ensuing monkey see monkey do.

It shouldn't even be a question with or without the bobblehead incident, DON'T THROW SHIT ON THE FIELD. I don't care if it's a ********ing stuffed cat. It's stupid and moronic.

I'm assuming this was deliberate to avoid college football gamedays.
