Drenthe is not in the list again; VdV got his 5th yellow last week?

It's going to be interesting to see the starting line up. Also, Robben's injury doesn't add positive feelings with 10 days before the Liverpool game.

we are looking pretty thin in the middle. I am also surprised that palanca isnt included either.

    Robben injured? Or being rested?
I have a feeling all three of Huntelaar, Raul and Higuain will start.
Gago Lass and perhaps Faubert in the middle?

It's also alarming that once Robben has two games per week (club and national team), he's got another injury.

Robben was kicked around pretty awful in the international game, some brutal stuff was going on there.I was very worried about our players to be honest, Robben was taken out at the corner flag with something that reminded Jean Claude Van Damme's best efforts.

Wow, our squad is quite thin at the moment.

I wonder if Juande is going to play a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3?

I think Robben's omission is also heavily due to a comfortable 2nd place, a distant 1st place, a comfortable 7-1 previous meeting and a crucial CL tie in 11 days.

Looks like Faubert will get his first start, eh? Since Heinze is ok, maybe we see Marcelo and Faubert on the wings, with the rest of the lineup staying the same? This is going to be interesting..With no Sneijder or VDV, I sure wish Guti was back. Parejo might get some minutes.

    .................Hunte

    ..................Raul

    Marcelo.......................Higuain

    ............Gago.......Lass

    Here is a wild guess....

I think Ramos uses this as a chance to get Hunte a start. Faubert can wait a bit longer to get his chance.

Since this game is in Gijon, I wouldn't be surprised if Ramos also uses this as an opportunity to start Marcelo out on the left since he has tried him there a couple times off the bench. It would be cruel to perform such an experiment at the Bernabeu since the crowd would likely boo him.

He trained with the team today. I think it's more about him getting a rest than anything else to be honest.
