Amazing game. Bojinov and Capel were incredible.

Most improved team in Portugal by far IMO. Good to see Sporting back in the top three/four. Looks like it will be a dog fight for the tittle this year.

I've just arrived from Alvalade, first game I saw there since we received Naval last January.

Great atmosphere, and a fantastic crowd for a monday game, with the team rewarding us with a great win.

Bro, Sporting was always in the top 3 or 4, we arent benfica or porto who have finished as low as 6th or 9th in their histories.

    last season 3 , season before 4...

Sporting will fight for the title this season thats all that needs to be said, personally I believe we will be celebrating at the end of the season but thats my opinion
Red or blue doesnt scare me one bitt with this team, only the team that wears black.

True enough. I did not explain myself properly. Historically, top three to me always had a chance at winning the league. The last couple of years Sporting had been very distant in points from 2nd and 1st place. That will not be the case this year. Top three or four teams will all be challenging IMO including of course Sporting.

Lets not get carried away. everyone has their own opinion, but as much as i dislike Benfica and porto, they have good teams. Especially Benfica. I can't wait for our matchup against them to see how both teams match up vs each other.

Sporting does have a team to go far in all competitions though!

That's why squad depth is important, and something that has hurt Sporting in the past few seasons for not having it.

Good post bud. Agree 100 % . Be interesting to see how Benfica's defense does against Sporting quickness.

I can't wait to introduce Capel, Carrillo and RvW to Luisao.

It goes both ways, it will be interesting to see how Sporting defense does with Benfica's attack too.

One thing is for sure, I wont be betting any money on this game. My wife is a Sporting fan so it will get kind of interesting at my house :D:D

I'm sure it will be Jeffren, not Carrillo, that will start against benfica

Still a while before we play benfica, and Jeffren is apparently back from injury. I'm sure he'll be fit by then.

I haven't seen him play other than that goal he scored against Real Madrid last season. He was in the field for, what ? less than 15 minutes. Let's see how he meshes in the current squad.
