With Slimani suspended and Barcos on his way out (will be staying with us for the first game then leaving to Velez on loan), I predict Alan Ruiz will play #9 with Bryan as second striker.

    GK: Patricio
    DEF: Schelotto, Coates, Semedo, Zeegelaar
MID: William, Adrien, Joao Mario, Bruno Cesar
    ATT: Bryan Ruiz, Alan Ruiz

Just hoping for a draw for this one tbh. This off season has been shocking. Only 1 signing who will actually play over the course of the season. No excuses for that.

I was remaining optimistic but that team is not looking great

Zeegelar, Paulo Oliveira, Petrovic and Podence out. Meli is still not registered to play in the league due to missing documentation.

JJ really doesn't like Paulo eh.

I'm betting Cesar will drop to LB and Gelson to start.

Iuri left out. Surprised about João Pereira starting for Schelotto. Anyway, starts in about 25 minutes.

2-0. Patricio with some excellent saves and Gelon, Mario, and both Ruizes looked amazing. Coates was solid and had the first goal off a corner and Semedo was sound as well.

Good win, we played with most of our core team but no Slimani. First half was even and we rode our luck a bit, but 2nd half we came out strong and could've had more goals.

Joao Mario was subbed off just before the end to a standing ovation - definitely seems like it was his last match to me.

Now onto Pacos Ferreira, which will be a tough match and we'll definitely be needing Slimani.

Alan Ruiz was decent today and tried his best, but its obvious he's not a #9 like Slimani. However he has a really good left foot and I think he can shine as a Support Striker to Slim.

always good to start with a win. Well there isn't really any other options other than winning as last season demonstrated where 86 points wasn't even enough.
