As vilafria suggested in another thread, lets start a thread to track the progress of loaned out players. Anyone feel free to update this thread with news about our loaned out players. Might as well start with Carlos Mané, who debuted for Stuttgart and scored two goals in four minutes (2nd and 4th minutes of the match) in a 4-0 win in 2. Bundesliga Here's a list of currently loaned out players in 2016/17 season: Ewerton (CB) - FC Kaiserslautern Tobias Figueiredo (CB) - Nacional Jonathan Silva (LB) - Boca Juniors Miguel Lopes (RB) - Akhisar Andre Geraldes (RB) - Setubal Joao Palhinha (DM) - Belenenses Simeon Slavchev (DM) - Lechia Gdansk Orio Rosell (DM) - Belenenses Wallyson (CM) - Standard Liege Ryan Gauld (AM) - Setubal Iuri Medeiros (RW) - Boavista Carlos Mane (RW) - Stuttgart Teo Gutierrez (ST) - Rosario Central Heldon (RW) - Rio Ave Daniel Podence - Moreirense Hernan Barcos - Velez Sarsfield
I checked on Ewerton , loaned to FC Kaiserslautern, and found that in their last 5 matches he only made the bench in the last game but no play at all.
How have Podence, Iuri, and Tobias looked so far? Shame about Gauld, doesn't seem like he'll fulfill that promise
Podence looked great in pre season. I thought he was going to turn heads and be a nice surprise for us this season.
Ewerton (CB) - FC Kaiserslautern Tobias Figueiredo (CB) - Nacional Jonathan Silva (LB) - Boca Juniors Miguel Lopes (RB) - Akhisar Andre Geraldes (RB) - Joao Palhinha (DM) - Simeon Slavchev (DM) - Lechia Gdansk Orio Rosell (DM) - Belenenses Wallyson (CM) - Standard Liege Ryan Gauld (AM) - Iuri Medeiros (RW) - Boavista Carlos Mane (RW) - Stuttgart Teo Gutierrez (ST) - Rosario Central Heldon (RW) - Rio Ave Daniel Podence - Moreirense Hernan Barcos - Velez Sarsfield Returned
Apparently Setubal is making a big stink out of it (still don't agree with that decision, it's only affecting the players who were playing well)
I'm confused, how is setubal even allowed to stop them from returning? Should be a simple drive down to Lisbon. I feel bad for the players tho
Francisco Geraldes and Daniel Podence played in the League cup final and won it. Moreirense beat Sp. Braga 1-0 . They should return to Sporting by the end of the January transfer window.
Really hope they aren't coming back just to ride the bench. Would be a waste. Congrats to them for the Cup win!
It's bad that two loaned out players have won more silverware than us hope they do well and get gametime if they return though
Maybe they'll bring some spark into the team. Geraldes has a lot of quality, he looks like the real deal (another Joao Mario?) and Podence is like Gelson 2.0 Play the youth!!
