Who do you think will finish top scorer in the SPL this season and how many goals do you think they will score?

I picked Novo, he cant stop scoring right now and i think he will finish 30+ at end of season.

Yeah that also includes the Scottish Cup games, he's scored 3 in the league so far, joint top Aberdeen scorer with Derek Adams. I don't think he'll get past 10 this season

I don't think Hartson plays enough games in a season (ahem, lack of physical fitness) to win a top scorer award. Sutton plays too much in midfield. The most realistic Celtic player for this is Camara. Most likely Camara and Hartson will end up with 20 each and Sutton with maybe 15. The thing that helps Celtic in this respect is that they will have to score plenty as they look well dodgy in defence.

Rangers - I'm not sure. Novo scored a lot at Dundee and has been hot lately, so obviously has a chance. Prso doesn't seem to score so many goals as perhaps expected. Arveladze seems to have fallen off the face of the earth as far as goal scoring. 20 ish for Novo, 15-20 for Prso, no-one else above 12.

I think this is the best chance in ages (ie since before Larsson) for someone outside the OF to win this. Maybe one of Riordan or O'Connor at Hibs, they seem to score (and concede) quite a lot of goals. Boyd had one flukey game (5 v United). McDonald had a hot start but not much lately.

If I had to pick one, I would probably take Novo. Then (if he stays fit) Hartson. Then Riordan.

Darren Mackie couldn't score 20 goals in the reserves. :D

I'd be surprised if he gets to six... there's no danger of him getting near 10.

He's only got 20 goals in his entire Aberdeen career in since his debut in August 1999.

I reckon big Thommo will get a few this season if he keeps up his form. Hopefully 15-20. I was at Ibrox on Sunday and the big man was outstanding. I think Prso will find it hard to get back in the team if Thommo keeps playing like that.

I agree Thommo was great against Aberdeen, hopefully he will start against Livi this weekend so he can prove he's worth a starting place against Celtic, he was of course the only person to score against Celtic for Rangers last season

I was surprised to see that was only Thommo’s 5th goal of the season.

If he keeps playing regularly, he will get 15+ no doubt about that

Let’s hope so. I hope he keeps playing well. It could be good for Scotland as well as the Gers!

He did save Scotland from MAJOR embarrasment against Moldova, We are in desperate need of a goalscorer and i think his recent form may give us (Scotland) what they need up front. Peter Lovenkrands also seems to be banging in the goals
