WUSA’s San Diego Spirit and Full90 Sports, Inc. Team Up

Full90 Sports, Inc. announced that it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the San Diego Spirit for the 2003 WUSA season. The terms of the agreement include Full90™ Padded Headbands to be a featured product on in-stadium signage and booth space, a presence in various media opportunities including print, internet and television, and a ticket sponsorship. Additionally, Full90 will be the presenting sponsor of the San Diego Spirit’s “Soccer in the Halls” school visits program.

The deal is the largest financially in club history.

I wonder how the head band can both slow down the impact on the forehead and at the same time not slow the speed of the ball when it rebounds?

Is there anyone out there who has actually tried these out?

"Full90 Sports, Inc., based in San Diego, CA, is global soccer company leading the world in state-of-the-art soccer products designed to extend the enjoyment of soccer for players of all ages."

What amazes me is that Full90 Sports was not a sponsor before now!!! Who dropped the ball there! Was it the Spirit or Full90 Sports? Anybody know anything?

I wonder how long the company has been around. I haven't heard of them under their new name or the old "Affinity" one. The links that are supposed to go to comments from users & 'top players' do not work. Does any one know anybody who has actually used these devices?

They are just getting into sponsorships & the pros

THey wanted to get a presence in the pros to try to market the headband more effectively. So they are relatively new. I have seen it and tried it on, not bad. They are talking withs everal players to wear the bands in WUSA matches.
