The 3rd round of the Bundesliga features an away fixture in Hannover, against 96 who are sitting in the 3rd spot after 2 weeks. They had an impressive win over Wolfsburg this weekend, and as EE was hinting at earlier... this should be a very good test early in the term for Werder. Bremen currently sit in the 10th spot after a convincing win at home in the Nordderby
This is our rooster for the Hannover match: Mielitz, Wolf - Sokratis, Gebre Selassie, Lukimya, Prödl, Schmitz, DeBruyne, Arnautovic, Fritz, Elia,Bargfrede , Hunt, Junuzovic, Ignjovski, Petersen, Füllkrug, Akpala. Many of our players showed good performances at the NTs, especially Prödl, Arnautovic (hope he can forget the missed sitter) and Junuzovic for Austria at their unlucky defeat vs. Germany. So I hope the players can confirm the good impression and collect at least a point at Hannover, a team that was last season very strong at home.
I agree. It seemed like a good fit. (Especially since I don't really care for Fritz in the midfield.)
Well, well we get to see Lukimya in action and no Fritz? Interesting...now the announcer says Juno didn't travel with the team...no loss lately, wish he played for us like he plays for the Austrian nats.
Does Bargfrede know what position he is supposed to be playing? Or are Hunt and Fritz going to cover for him for the whole match? Anyway, 2-0 for Hannover now.
The human foul machine (Bargfrede) just picked up yellow. Sorry all: I am hating him more than usual today.
All good...its mutual! The whole defensive half is rediculous. On the other hand I like the aggresive play in the other end...its slowly getting its legs and creating chances.
Say, is DeBruyne a loaner? edit* I really miss Frings. Bargfrede can take a slow boat to TFC and Thorsten can travel back first class.
Has it said why Juno didn't start? I see he's listed on the bench. Also, I hope Fulkrung or Akpala come on. I swear Petersen didn't touch the ball that half!
The German feed (I don't have GOLTV) said he didn't travel because he is ill...likely he's dead tired after the Austria/Germany match this past week. He should take whatever Astroboy's taking. Pedersons playing? Case in point!
The Buli ticker stats at the half are telling me the match is too close to call. Looks like the subs will define the outcome. I almost feel they should adopt a counter stance and keep thier own end clean. Coming forward Bremen are hard to stop with thier speed.
Junuzovic has a cold. That is why he is only on the bench. Prödl has muscular problems. Well, second half starts. Time to turn the match around.
