My prediction for this one was 3-0. Looks like they're well on their way.

McFadden levels from the spot after a "soft" tug of the shirt from Neill.

    1-1.

Maybe it's just my Spector-goggles but Neill has been really shaky in many of the games I've seen this season. Is anyone else seeing this???

    4 minutes of stoppage.

Hammers down a man due to a Bowyer straight red.

Specs to come on to kill some time.

I read that he hadn't been called in to the US camp for the Mexico game under an arrangement with his team that, in return, he would be available for the Olympic qualifying...

...nice that he's getting all this rest

I was surprsied to see Neill last the whole match as he was poor, especially after flying to Australia and back midweek. The problem is it seems managers are very reluctant to take off a captain, I don't know why that should be but it's what happens. Personally I'd prefer Upson. Neill is suspended for our next game so maybe Spector will start. Spector came on for this game, ran onto the pitch and shortly afterwards the whistle blew. Such a disappointing game, WH started off playing really well but the penalty seemed to kill us off. Very poor. Had plenty of chances but the only strikers we have fit are of the non scoring variety. Ljungberg continues to impress though which is one good thing. It was a penalty, given away by Neill. Bowyer got a straight red after a two footed challenge, didn't see the the tackle but it was right in front of the ref and in the middle of the park so off he went with only a few minutes play left.

Just an update, Bowyer's red card was rescinded upon appeal.

Spector played in a reserve game tonight, full 90 mins at LB judging by the line up. No report from me as I was otherwise engaged but info here

If you can stomach to PR guff, he's mentioned a few times in the second half.
