spector completed the full 90 today in a reserves match against chelsea. spector and rob green were the only first team players in the west ham squad. chelsea's squad included essien, cole, cudicini, drogba, and kalou.

    It's a 'keeping-players-who-are-not-on-international-duty warm' team.

    Final Score?

That's certainly some healthy competition for JS...with Drogba and Kalou attacking.

4-1 Chelsea...to be expected with the team Chelsea fielded.

Not only did he not play, but his competition for the right back spot had a great game. Mears had one incredible goal-line clearance from a Petrov lob. One of the best I've ever seen.

I look forward to Spector coming back, but I'm not sure how many starts he's gonna have.

This game never happened. West Ham reserves have yet to play the Chelsea Reserves. No information of this match can be found on either club website. Besides Cole (Ashley Cole was with England and Joe Cole is still injured), which ever one was not available for the match. Mourinho never has during his time played full first teamers in Reserves and the Reserve team Coach has made it a policy to play 18 year olds and under. The game was never played, sorry.

You are new around here so...

The game happened. It was not part of the reserve league season, which is why it isn't listed as a fixture, but it did happen.

If you stick around this forum awhile you'll learn that certain posters know what they are talking about. The person that posted this result is one of those posters.

Yeah that was an AMAZING clearance! They must have showed it 3 or 4 times from different angles.

Pardew didn't even have a defender on the bench yesterday.

Pantsil and Mears are going to fight over the top RB slot and the "loser" might not even make the bench.

Do you have any sort of link to this game? If it did happen, then my mistake, but I have been unable to find any information on either clubs official website or any other sites.

My guess is this wasn't a formal Reserve League game and more of a training match.

Can't tell you the number of times I've been told something I saw with my own eyes didn't happen 'cause it's not on youtube.
