Any foreign player age 28 or younger can be acquired as a special discovery, a classification the league implemented last year.

The special discovery allows teams to pro-rate the acquisition cost -- including transfer fee, signing bonus, etc. -- over a three-year period up to a limit of $200,000.

Of course Bradley knows about it. This is for the people on this board who like to speculate what Bradley might do.

I'd never heard the term "special discovery" before and thought it might be interesting to throw it out there.
