    From Online Gooner:

The last home match of the season has unofficially been designated as a day to wear the oldest Arsenal replica shirt that fits you. So dig it out from the bottom of the wardrobe to emphasise to our visitors that football did not begin in the summer of 2004. And always remember... you can’t buy history.

Funny thing is I still remember going to Chelsea away and I started a fight over some guy in the tube station. Cops had to break us up and evrything but the whole argumnet was that he was a new age Chelsi fan.

I so f****d up by not ordering this from Arsenal.com shopping back in March. I had the order ready to place along with a bunch of smaller items and when I did eventually get around to placing the order, in April, I was delighted to find out that free shipping was available....Yipee..Great news !!

    WRONG ....!!!!

    ITEM OUT OF STOCK...:(

Should have just placed the order when I first saw it !!

I don't want the long sleeve version ('cos there's still one of those that will never fit me again, safely stored in my Mum's loft) and I really wanted to buy this shirt from the Arsenal shop...It would just feel more authentic.

    However.......
UKSOCCERSHOP claims to have them in stock.

Any feedback on this company would be much appreciated.

In recognition of 'retro day" I'll wear ...

Kick off time is '0 five hundred hours' here.....and I plan to stagger out of bed around 4am....so I may, or may not,
    be wearing other apparel too.

[hears voices of Steph and Judy (and probably my wife too)....."eeew yuck" ]

Roger, maybe you should just order it straight from Toffs.

I've still got to buy one of those Toffs shirts - I have a similar one made by Nike, but it is a bit on the big side.

As a matter of interest, what is every1's oldest shirt they have?

    This is my one:

Well I'll be honest and say that its a bit of a cheat...

I actually received it for my Birthday last year off ebay - I didn't even know of Arsenal when they used to wear that shirt! I bought another shirt from the same seller, and I thought I'd buy it for 6 quid considering I was paying the same for shipping anyway.

My first shirt I got was the 98 away shirt with the blue horizontal stripe across the chest, but that doesn't fit at all...and it was a terrible fake.

But what would you guys wear besides the Toffs shirt.

I still am in desperate need of one of those, and my favourites back in that double season was Dennis and Overmars. If you're not keeping it for your collection, and its a size medium or below, I'll be happy to take it off you for a fee.;)

Somehow I get that feeling my oldest Arsenal shirt won't fit me....

Its the one on the right (obviously) and I got it for my first birthday, it was my first ever birthday present that I got. Its a 1985 centenary shirt. My dad got it signed for me in 1995 when one of his mates who used to play for St Albans played against Arsenal in a pre season friendly.

Don't tell anyone but.... I aint working tomorrow. :D
I am going as a fan, my mate had a spare ticket so I figured I would actually go to the game as a fan for once. It will be the first Arsenal game I have gone to as a fan since the Champions League final. I get to hurl the abuse instead of receiving it tomorrow :D

Still wear my 04/05 away from time to time

....classic Arsenal away colours, and remind me of FA Cup Final shirts of yesteryear.

*sigh* I wish i never had REYES 9 put on that beautiful away shirt of mine *sigh*

On the bright side, its pretty small, so I've got a good excuse to buy a replacement on ebay.

Nice centenary shirt there Matt, I hope to some pictures of you wearing it at the match tomorrow ;)

Reyes on your away shirt? You have it easy mate, I have Reyes on the homeshirt and Ashley Cole on the away shirt. Never been able to wear it since!

EDIT: the 04/05 kits that is.

Oh that IS shite - and that away kit was particularly nice as well. I've hardly worn my long sleeved version of that shirt - I want PIRES put on it, but I may just preserve it in the state I wore it in at my only match at Highbury, vs PSV.

You were clubbing at Batchwood in 85? Oh dear.... now I do really have to take the piss! :D :p

St Albans play at Clarence Park which is at the bottom of Hatfield Road. Looking foward to moving back to St. A. next month and going to a few games at Clarence Park on my weekends off from Arsenal duties. Need to get in some more lower league and non-league football. Will be going to a few Barnet games as well.
