How come nothing was done when Bobby Convey picked up the ball and threw it at Chad Deering during the last game... just true bad sportsmanship (like all of D.C. United...Ray Hudson trickle down effect...come on was Ernie Stewart gonna kill some one before Morrow slapped a choke hold on him... DC Sux...I feel sorry for their fans... though I really like their name and logo... however, unfortunately it is somewhat Nazi-esque...that must be why they have such bad attitudes)

Convery should have been ejected. If a player did that in any other league.. automatic ejection... no doubt. Why does MLS have "feelings" for its special players?

MLS needs to crack down on this crap... it's like youth soccer gone professional and Convey is the perfect example... way too many poor sports in youth soccer and they are now being paid to play in MLS... of course our players aren't as nearly as whiney as some internationals.

On the other hand there are some excellent atheletes with great sportsmanship in our league... some of the best.

Anyone have video of this latest Wolyneic incident?

While Wolyneic deserved his suspension for the elbow on McCarty, McCarty had been acting like a thug all game long and had clattered Tim Howard earlier. Why no suspension for him?

yeah I know that... but yellow cards...come on... that is silly... Convey should have been ejected...

I was there. The ref saw him throught he ball at deering... and then start "acting".... he just tended to Convey... how annoying.... red card for convey no debate

as a USA fan, i lost a lot of respect for convey during that game. if he ever lost his head and acted like such a brat during a nats game, people would be going crazy. things in DC must be pretty bad right about now.

He may be a 'Brat' as you say, but I would still take him on 'my' team any time.

He wasn't acting. That foul left him limping badly after the match. He struggled getting up some stairs. It was a spur of the moment thing, and Deering isn't exactly an angel.

The way to stop strikers from retaliating against defenders is to start giving cards to thug defenders like Chad McCarty and Nick Garcia to deter them from their thuggery-- then retaliation won't be necessary. I'm no Carlos Ruiz fan, but it didn't bother me much that he swung an elbow at Garcia. Too bad he missed, though Garcia made quite a meal out of it.

So would I, but at Dc he's being wasted on the wing & he's getting an attitude under Hudson. For the good of the national team i hope Convey heads somewhere else soon, and I think his weeks away with the Nats couldn't have come at a better time.

Well in this case it's hard to back Deering up.

He fouled the crap out of Convey and probably deserved to have the ball thrown at him. I am sure Chad would tell you that himself.

I yelled bullshat really, really loudly when Deering got the card, causing my 8 year old daughter to really raz me.

She basically told me not to yell again until I had a better rap. She suggested that if it happened again, we would both do the "pretend-you-are-coughing-but-really-say-"loser"-deal".

So if something like that happens again, listen for us.
