okay problem: when i turn on my speakers for my computer and i play music, either on a cd or mp3's <both from a cd or direct from my hard drive> i get these horrible little sqeeks and "scratch" kinda sounds all throughout the music. i just noticed this since i have started using DSL as opposed to the cable modem i had before, never had it happen when i had the cable modem. anyway, i thought maybe it was the DSL or something "interfeering" but when i turned off the modem <shut it down and turned it off> and listen to my music it did the same damn thing. i don't get what could be wrong. anyone have any suggestions? the speakers are altec's that i purchased about 8 months ago and they shouldn't be crapping out on me already. i have also tried using a variety of different players <WMP, winamp, QT> and it happens with all of them. anyone have any ideas?
