Wednesday is behind us, time to open your account against Milan on Sunday! Top of the table awaits! Forza Juve!
Wes went 90 and played a solid game for the most part. Seemed everyone on the field's final ball was off, but Wes ran the most of anyone, I think was mentioned, was pretty accurate with his passing, most of which was pretty safe. Looked like a very solid, hardworking 2way middie today.

yeah, those reviews are fair imo. However, the glass-is-half-full analysis of Juve's overall recent form is "unbeaten in the last 5 matches across all competitions"
A lot of similarities to our start last year as well. 12 points through 6 matches and unbeaten. Main difference I have noticed is that last year the fans were generally positive. This year, the sky is falling and Tudor needs to be fired immediately to save the season. 23/24: 9gf/0ga 2nd in Serie A. 3 goalless draws in a row. 6pts in CL from PSV and Leipzig 24/25: 9gf/5ga 5th in Serie A. 1 goalless draw. 2pts in CL from BVB and Villareal It's probably best that the international break arrived.
Is it me, or does Locatelli look a little better when Wes is on the field running his socks off. Hopefully for Juve Jonathan David finds his scoring shoes in the Canada locker room.
I would like to know if Wes being so high and leaving Locatelli alone in CM is a bug or a feature in Tudors eyes? It leaves a lot of buildup responsibility to Locatelli. I know Wes runs ALOT, but I think a lot of it is unneeded running to get back in transition because he is so far forward when he plays CM. For some reason, Cambiaso is often underlapping Yildiz instead of providing width, which is a huge mistake. If Tudor is trying to get cute with this type of thing and play Kalulu at RWB, Kalulu should move into CM next to Locatelli to provide stability there. This allows Wes to push up next to Yildiz more centrally supporting Johnathan David and leaves Cambiaso and Conceicao as your width. In possession I think it's a little conservative, but understand. Personally, I would bench Gatti, move Wes to RWB and Thuram next to Locatelli. Out of possession, Wes moves wide and Thuram shifts back next to Locatelli.
Speaking to TNT before the match against Australia, McKennie told an interesting background on his summer preparation and his relationship with Igor Tudor, Juventus coach. The words reported by GOAL: "I had a long pre-season with my coach at Juventus, Igor Tudor, who put me under pressure and said, 'Hey, you're getting older and your body won't be able to recover from games like you used to. You need to lose some weight. It's the only way you'll be involved in this team.' I lowered my head, I worked as usual, I went on a diet. I don't have as many snacks anymore, and if I do, they're healthy snacks. And I train more often. And I run a lot. This summer is the first summer in which I didn't mind taking off my shirt in the pool" ***For those that noticed Wes looking a little trimmer.
Go back to bed - this one was over before it started. Como 2-0 Juventus, the goals at 7’ and 79’. McKennie and Vlahovic came on for Koopmeiners and Locatelli at 77’, down 1-0, but things didn’t go as planned. Next up: Champions League at Real Madrid on Wednesday - McKennie to start, I guarant … er … hope.
It would seem the best time for an upset is after an international break and starters are rested. Whoever had the ranch dressing bonuses for Milan sales is crying now.
starts against RM. No idea what the team is supposed to look like. Wes, Thuram, and Koop start and not a single CB on the bench. I've wanted Tudor to be the manager at Juventus for a few years now and I'm officially off that train. This is such a scared lineup, should have stuck with Allegri if we were just going to play not to lose every week. Oh well, fino alla fine. Forza Juve! Forza Wes!
