Wes and a few other players, coach, and club leadership were welcomed to the Oval Office this morning...If someone wants to find the videos/pictures feel free, but I'd rather not...I really hate this timeline. Should have known once John Elkann flew arrived in the U.S. and his previous "meeting" with the President in Saudi Arabia.
There is a moment with Wes after Trump takes a political-pot-shot-wrapped-in-a-jokey-question where everyone looks at their shoes and McK looks to his teammates for help that says all I have to say about the appearance.
Any trip to the White House is an honor, and any interpretation of Weston or Weah’s mannerisms is an exercise in spin.

Maybe as an American, but I don't think so as an Italian, Croat, Serbian. I would consider it an honor to see the history and what has been accomplished by persons who called it home. Probably even a once in a lifetime experience, but I'm not sure I would be happy if my employer told me that I would be expected to attend.
Been true my whole life, under many administrations. Not true now No criticisms here of Wes or Weah. We are all stuck in the same crappy timeline, but at least I’m lucky enough not to be dragged into the Chief Idiot’s office
Lots of soccer nowadays at the White House. Trump is “the soccer president.” 🇺🇸⚽️ pic.twitter.com/6jCKY4ZmDf— Alexi Lalas (@AlexiLalas) June 19, 2025
There was a brief shot after the end of the game of the coach, Tudor, talking to McKennie. He didn’t look happy with Wes. Wonder if Tudor is cracking the whip and doesn’t want his players slacking off even when the game has long been decided. Setting the tone for the new season?
Noticed that too, probably because of him being one of the captains and I would absolutely agree. Those things come with the responsibility of the arm-band. I do believe that Wes was one of the hardest workers for Juve today, but it starts from the leaders, IMO. This teams mentality is also one of the things that Tudor was supposed to help improve.
I wondered if Tudor was a little unhappy that they weren't pushing harder in the 2nd half to add to their tally. Bayern didn't let their foot off the gas because goal differential is likely gonna be a big factor in the groups with two UEFA clubs. It's not like Man City doesn't have the talent to drop 6+ on a club like Al-Ain.
