slashing wages. Juve have been handing out ridiculous wages for the past 8 years, it was unsustainable after COVID and we stopped winning. Vlahovic is next on the list because his 24m per year is ridiculous and doubly so when you consider his output. Juve will get back to top earners being in the 14-15m gross range until revenue can increase to pre-COVID areas.

Another report of mere bruising and the added news that he participated in yesterday's recovery training session with the other starters.

What is Wes may never die.

Wes and Weah 2nd half subs as Juventus battle past a surprisingly feisty relegated Venice to hold 4th and CL play. 3-2 - winning goal a clear PK for Juve.

Champions League is "earned" for Wes and Timo, another disappointing campaign for their squads.

Sucks that Wes' years at Juventus conincide with some of their weakest run in years.

Yes and as one of their better more consistent players he gets outsized blame. A lot of complaints from their fans that if he's one of the best players team isn't very good, which hey, that's fair given their historical standards.

It's an interesting question. Some players are even better surrounded by better players while others are found out. I kind of see some Davids parallels especially if he was just playing one spot with much better teammates.

Agreed, but that is probably one of the symptoms of the teams level during his time here. Nothing against him, but if Wes is one of the top-performing players, the ceiling for said team is probably going to be top 4. That is true for numerous players at Juventus, not just Wes.

Christ the FIFA money grab tourney starts in just over 2 and a half weeks. Hopefully Wes gets some burgers, shakes, and nutter butters in while he's in the states.

that would be a nice bump for him and deservedly so! That would put him tied for 4th highest in the team with Locatelli. Vlahovic, Bremer, and Douglas Luiz as the only higher earners. For the brit centric followers, that's ~100k lbs per week.

While I share your sentiments, your maths are another matter; 3.3m euros translates to 2.8m pounds or just under 54k per week.

And according to capology at least 9 Juve players are on 4m euros a season, including Thuram, Cambiasso, Kolo-Muani, etc.

Italian salaries are usually reported post-tax, so (roughly) double everything.

I believe we should tariff any country who does not post both Net and Gross salary numbers going forward. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Nope. Italian salaries are posted in net figures, not gross. That's why I posted the ppw in gross figures.

Reporting gross figures is gross. But trying to net the net figures, well that's why I have (big) love for soccer.
