Will I be surprised when at some point it comes out he's been playing hurt since last winter? No,I will not.
It’s clear his shoulder has been bugging him. Would not be surprised if this is around managing that issue.
This is a bummer, I was excited to see him under Poch. Hopefully its more precautionary than a sign of real injury... now would be the worst possible time for him to be unavailable to Juve.
1845828333294030877 is not a valid tweet id This report says he's suffering from a muscle injury so it must be unrelated to the shoulder injury. Medical tests tomorrow to confirm the extent
We have enough yanks injured already. Sounds like it’s something he picked up in camp or came to camp with?
Most likely picked it up, as there were no reports that he was limited in training the day before the match from reporters invited to watch (2 of those reporters said that Fossey and Steffen were kept inside on exercise bikes).
Giovanni Albanese claims (in a Gazzetta article not in the tweet) that Wes is definitely out for the match vs Lazio and the testing that will be done tomorrow could rule him out for much longer: 1845872378548494570 is not a valid tweet id I don't think the term "muscular injury" prohibits shoulder problems... in fact, I think it's entirely possible that he expressed discomfort in his shoulder, US Soccer left him out as a precaution, and now Juve wants to do more imaging to determine if he should undergo surgery. A number of Juve fan blogs are connecting the same dots and pointing out that he's been seen a few times wearing a shoulder brace this season, including one of the last training sessions they had before the international break: If his reconstructive surgery is like mine was, it wouldn't be season ending, but we probably wouldn't see him before January either.
Pochettino said "he arrived [with] some, not big problems, but some uncomfortable situation, and we didn't want to take a risk." Maybe he was testing it out the first day and they re-evaluated.
(Regardless of the current injury), McKennie should have taken care of his shoulder when it first became evident that it wouldn't heal on its own, or at least by the following off-season. #ScheduledPost!
Impact injury from repeated striking of the bottom of a near empty ranch bottle with the palm of the hand.
phew!!! Glad to hear that, like I said this would be the worst possible time for him to miss a huge chunk of matches... I just know Luiz is champing at the bit to earn his status as a starter.
Well, Koopmeiners is out for 1-3 matches as well. Regardless of Wes' health, he should get the chance to not give away a penalty. Low bar! lol I'm only kind of kidding. He clearly has talent, just seems like he got his pay day and doesn't seem to care as much. Kind of like Arthur, Douglas Costa, Alex Sandro...definitely isn't a trend...
That penalty was bullshit, like was he supposed to just let that ball rocket off his face at 100 mile per hour? He put his hand up to protect his face, some of these pk's are infuriating and everytime the ref goes to the monitor now you know he's calling it a penal
Especially when the first thing they see is a still of the possible infraction. Why not have a still that doesn't involve the issue in question and allow the sequence to build to the moment in question? Alot of these things aren't about a single frame, unless it's whether something is black/white. Ball in or out, etc. For the record, I am 100% for VAR, just think it isn't being used properly most of the time.
